Look for the large “Jesus Maria“. Seamed to be more than one way to get to the lighthouse. Had to deflate tires on 2WD to get through the sandy pathways mentioned below. Windy. 4G signal good, 1-3 bars.

Gorgeous views. Lighthouse stairs seem iffy, didn’t risk it. Road in is quite soft and sandy in sections, requires 4WD.

Lovely views, wind shelters and grills by the lighthouse and addl shelters below on the way in by the beach. Road is quite sandy beyond the lighthouse and rather intimidating even for our Jeep to go down to the sea lion cove. Had some LTE bars, probably some of the best service we had at camps in Baja outside of cities.

This spot was amazing - great views, cool old lighthouse, 4G Telcel, and private access to TWO beaches, both of which are gorgeous. We could also see dolphins from up on the cliff. There are lots of prickly burrs - just a heads up for dog parents. Our pup got lots stuck in his paws :( The road up to the spot is sand, usually loose, with several spots with lots of deep bumps. We were happy to have higher clearance and 4WD, if that’s 100% necessary? Well, that’s up to you.

Nice location to camp. Stairs to the top of the lighthouse are a bit unsafe but possible to manage.

We stayed here for a few nights and really enjoyed the beaches in the area and the beautiful views. The road to get here is quite rough. With a 4WD truck and truck camper, we took it slow in 4LO and there is lots of off camber spots and sandy areas where a 2wd vehicle could get stuck. I’d definitely suggest making sure everything in your vehicle cabinets is secure before you attempt it.

Drive in on oil tank road past residence and turn right up the hill on a sandy 4x4 road. Camping spot with two wind blinds for tents or chairs built out of concrete at first spot and two more at lighthouse. Road continues but we didn’t go further. Secluded beaches to hike down to. Lighthouse tower ladder is dangerous but outside deck is perfect for wildlife watching & passing boats. Worth the effort!

Report Check-In

Beautiful Setting. Attempted driving the road up the hill towards toward palapas/lighthouse. Road appears firm, but is deceptively sandy in several spots (Sprinter 2WD got stuck). Easy hike to the lighthouse and arch following morning

This spot NEVER disappoints! Bonus: digital nomads will love it here. See pics of speeds right off my iPhone 12 with no booster.
