This is Welcome to Alberta Sign and Rest Area. It is a West Bound Traffic Rest Area. It is open 24/7 with self-information and a time to rest and take a break. There are garbage dump bins and pit toilets. It is a bit noisy if you do not like highway traffic. Other than that, it is a very nice and neat area to rest for the night and hit the road in the morning after a self coffee break.
I stop here most of the times as I do not mind the highway noise and next time I will add more pictures and videos of this area. Some call this place Walsh Rest Area, some call it Cypress County Rest Area.
Just to the East of this Rest Stop, there is another Rest Stop which is for East Bound Traffic. I will add that area as well after this. I did not see any sign which says NO PETS allowed. Although it is common sense, that all pets should be leashed because you might not be the only one here as this is a Public Rest Stop.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
small rest stop good for a little break, over night camping is not allowed and you wouldnt wanna stay here anyway. Very dirty, very loud, very sad
Report Check-Instopped here for a break. probably wouldn’t stay the night, no privacy and seems really popular for tourists.
EDIT: there is a no camping sign
