Camping Fogata | Established Campground

The owner of Fogatas just texted me to aks me if I could write a comment in iOverlander that camping fogatas is about to be closed down. So sad...
She could not tell me when they would close the campground but I'm guessing soon.

Lovely to find a big grassy campsite - our dog loved it! Very friendly hosts, clean and tranquil. Paid 26k cop for 2 people.

Nice big grassy campsite. Good WiFi and Electricity. 13k p.P.p.N. Close to Colombia Rafting Expedition Warehouse where you could start a Rafting Tour (Book it a day before in San Gil, Carretera 10/Corner Calle 8, you could park in the street, it's in the beginning of the town.).

It is a very nice Place to relaxe for a few days. The Owner are very helpful, the Wifi is good and it is quite at night.

Nice place with really very nice people !!! We stay one more day !! Cold shower but it's ok (even with children) and furthermore very clean bathrooms and toilets (first time that we can remove shoes before entering). Perfect for tents and any rigs!!!

Nice place when it’s dry. With heavy rainfalls the place turns to a mud-hole. The hosts are very friendly and helped us to fill up water and to clean our stuff from the mud. Toilets and showers are clean. We payed 13000 pesos per people per night.

Nice Green space near river. It rained night before so ground a little soggy. Wifi not fast but it worked. Clean bathrooms/showers. Charged 13k pp.

Excellent place to spend a few nights. Right by the river and extremely friendly hosts. The resident parrot named Laura is very friendly and cheeky and will make fast friends with you!

Like the other comments, we loved this place. Quiet at night and lovely camp hosts. Pool is out of commission. Good wifi and cold showers.

Great option by the river. We paid 13,000 pppn. WiFi password is [passwords are not allowed unless explicitly permitted by the owner]. We were able to wash our car with a hose here. There is also a power point in the camping area, and the owner can supply an extension. Recommended.

If you want to visit the nearby Metro supermarket be aware that parking is very limited, unless you fit in underground parking 2.1m or less. We found very limited street parking on the western side of the Centre. Its a lot of steep streets around there.

Very nice owners. Offer you coffee in the morning.
Price is still 10000 pp +3000 extra pp for wifi. Reached were we parked further away from restaurant.

Nice place direct at the river.Like everbody sayed before. Restaurant was closed. Pool was empty. We paid 20000 for two person. Restrooms were ok, but no toilet seats... cold, open tube showers. Advice: if you have a Tent pop up like our pickup truck....beware of the big LED light mounted at a tree....very bright ...at night!!
overall a good stay...!

Agree with all the previous, price is still 10.000 pp. Shower is only cold but is not ice cold so not a problem. Nice owners and Laura the parrot is awesome!

Really Nice place with friendly owner. Only 5minutes biking to the city.
Nice river next to the camping, flat land and shadow perfect to sleep.

Super camp ground for 10,000 Pesos per person per night. We had a landrover with rooftent and parked on the grass-very flat! Lovely grounds with the river running though the bottom. The owners are lovely and bought us coffee and we had lots of chats with them, in our broken Spanish! The bathrooms are very clean with cold showers. There is an undercover seating area where you can sit, if you wish. They serve great food but you can also cook your own. It is located 4km outside of San Gill, an easy 40 mins walk.

Very nice campground right at the río fonce. The staff is incredibly friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much. Bathrooms are clean and have cold water showers. Fogatas also has a restaurant with good food at reasonable prices. $10k COP per person/night. Ask to play "Tejo" it's a fun game and the staff will show you how to play!

Beautiful camping by the river. Nice scenery and very quiet. The owners are very nice and welcoming. They also brought us coffee for free. We ate at their restaurant as well. Try the special Fogatas burger! Delicious.

baños nuevos y muy limpios. los dueños super simpáticos, con restaurante (bueno y abundante). muy recomendable!!! 10.000 p/p. También alquilan carpas y material de acampar.

10 K pesos to camp. Electricity available next to camp site. Restaurant on site with painball and pool. Quiet place off the city. Very friendly owners. Highly recommend.

10000 p.P Very nice and Big Campground direkt by the River, with a lot of shady Places. Table and Seat avilable, and some places to doo Fire. Very very nice owners, they brought me Coffee in the Morning for free! Restaurant and very Good and Clean new Toiletts and Shower. And if you want you can Play Paint Ball behind the Campground. Highly recommended!
