Fantastic place, as all the previous comments say. Unfortunately the owner Mica has sold the place and the new owners will not be continuing with the hostel. I am the last guest. Glad I got to enjoy it while it was still here. All the best to Mica!

Report Check-In

Other accounts accurate as reported. Absolutely brilliant place to stay! We basically camped in her backyard next to the hostel outbuilding and enjoyed the birds and clean grounds. Hot showers, flush toilets, and WiFi available. Facilites are clean, clean, clean! Our two labs got along very well with her dogs; she does have chickens roaming about, however, they are not for harvest! As a bonus her son keeps his VW Combi on site so we were very much at home with our Westy!

Report Check-In

We stayed here prior to a visit to nearby Bacan Maya Ruins, which are just a 5 min walk away.

Our host Mica was most welcoming and understood what we required, turned the hot water, and gave us the WiFi code (1.3mbs). I got introduced to the cats and dogs who were exceptionally well behaved.

The camp was super secure with a tall fence, and quiet, and it was a great haven from the crowded, close contact camps we have stayed in on this trip. Highly recommend this. Very good value at 150Ps for a 2 person car camper no hookup.

A real welcoming and familial place near the Becan ruins (that you can enjoy at sunset).
Mika is a nice host that cares for you to enjoy your stay. For 100 pesos p/n you can use the commodities (will kept flushing toilets and warm showers). Possibility to pinch a tent as well.
A minute away walking stands a cheap and good family restaurant, held by a nice young couple, called El Xate.

arrived to visit the pyramide of Becan. walking distance about 10 minutes. very nice pyramides you can climb on. not a lot of people. Mika, the owner is very helpful and welcoming. Hot showers and toilets available. very clean. 200mxn in a camper with 2 people.

Report Check-In

Left to see Calakmul (and spend the night there), but after climbing the pyramids, we wanted a shower badly and returned here. Too bad the water infrastructure sucks (the showers are natural flow) and we had no water at all. For future reference: Mika lives in the last of the guest rooms - knock on her door if you need her.

Still a nice place - just don't expect showers that dispense a lot of water.

Report Check-In

Clean bathrooms and showers, WiFi and electricity available, spots in the shade, quiet, and Becán ruins within walking distance. All of it hosted by the very helpful and friendly Mika. What else is there to wish for? Paid MXN 200 per night (camping, 2 persons, roof tent). Came in for one night, stayed 3 (New years 2022).

Report Check-In

Nice place. They seem to be having problems with the internet. There is WiFi but no internet connection. While we were there there were no showers either even though we asked twice we paid 200 for one car and two people. And 150 for one car and 1 person. No breakfast.
The host was nice. We felt it was too expensive for what we got. We probably won’t stay again.

Report Check-In

Lovely place with lovely mika. All very clean. Nice kitchen to use. Unfortunately were not able to watch the ruins. Mika knows a guide who can bring you in even though it is closed. But 200pp for that was to mutch for us. The place at Mika is highly recommended if you need to overnight.

Super recommended! loved my stay here Mica the owner made us feel at home, we parked our van in the garden and could plug in our fan and pc to watch movies. She also rents a small house next to the property and rooms. The breakfast is fabulous!
This place felt like being at your grandma’s house, felt very safe comfortable and calm, everything was very clean. The kitchen area was big and had some tables, it was nice area to sit, eat and relax. The wifi was good I downloaded 6 movies. We came for two days and ended up staying for three, we payed 200 pesos per night for two people in a van.
Another great perk to this place is it has some amazing ruins just 200 meters away, they’re called Becan, never heard of it until Mica told us about it, there’s a special energy in this place! it had a lot of buildings and they we’re close by so it was easy to see it all, we we’re the only ones there since they aren’t officially open yet but the guy who takes care of it charges 100 pesos per person very worth it!
The next day after we arrived it was Micas birthday 14th of August so make sure you say happy birthday! You might get some cake :)

Report Check-In

Mika is wonderful. The camping area is flat and grassy, but we didn’t encounter any ants! Horray! The mosquitoes also weren’t too bad. One layer of repellent in the evening and we were fine. There are wooden chairs to sit in on the grass to relax and watch the many parakeets in the evening. There are 2 shared toilets and 2 shared showers in a screened-in area. They are all new and very clean. Hot and cold water showers. WiFi. She has 3 friendly dogs; Sombra is especially friendly and playful and played with our dog. $200pesos for a couple. Ring the bell if you don’t see anyone and the dogs and Mika will come out to welcome you.

Mika‘s place is a wonderful friendly place. We camped in the garden. There are hot showers and also a kitchen with tables for sitting. We payed 80 pppn (2 person for two nights =320). We can totally recommend this safe place. Mika is super friendly and a wonderful host.
There are also 3 super friendly dogs :).

If you don’t want to camp there is also a possibility to rent rooms or have a wonderful breakfast.

I stopped in here on 25 December and paid 150for no hook ups but they had Wi-Fi. I only stayed one night as I wanted to go check out the ruins they recommended I take their helper which I’m glad that I did because it was closed and we all came to an agreement and I was able to visit the ruins. Officially the ruins are closed. Good night sleep water pressure was a bit low but the water was hot
