The new interpretation center is ready on the outside. there are toilets and everything looks very new Even the miradors and stairway to the bridge are fresh. Entrance is 20 soles pp. Peruvian Heritage. Go there of you are in the neighbourhood, people are proud of there history. Its amazing, combination of nature and architecture.

For some reason we were only charged S/10 each, and we clearly look like foreigners. There’s a lot of building/renovating going on the trials here and a new interpretation centre being built, incomplete right now. We thought it was worth it because it’s a pretty fascinating piece of living history, people were happy to explain the process to us. Try to arrive early so you can get a parking spot, they’re limited.

I have to agree at S/20 it’s overpriced. Definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to see it but if you’re taking the highway anyway then why not. S/10 would be much more fair but unless you’re on a super budget consider it helping the community.

Nice place to see, but overpriced. They now ask 20 PEN per person to visit the place, even if you don’t cross the bridge. Locals have to pay 10 PEN. The local people before us discussed about it, they said that with this prices tourists will not come here anymore. After a while, they had to pay 2 tickets for 3 people. This high entrance fee was disappointing after the 21 km long, very bad bumpy road, that needs to be taken to reach this location.

if you are passing by it's worth stopping for a photo, but be aware, they'll try to take money for everything. don't be fooled only pay crossing, photos, walking on the path is for free.

The fee is 10pp for a one way walk across the bridge. But hey, it’s amazingly cool. Beautiful canyon. Ladies selling trinkets. Men showing how the rope is handmade. Yep, potholes on road.

Really cool place. don't be a cheapskate like some of the commenters, pay 10s pp, they doing have to make the bridge for you...

Road there is bloody awful, never seen so many pot holes!

The road from Yanaoca district which leads to this bridge is paved but in bad condition (full of pathholes). At the bridge is a guy to collect entry fee 10 sol per person. He is at the westbound of the river. After short discussion we paid 10 sol for two persons.

Free to enter from either side BUT you must pay to walk across rope bridge. No signs to that effect anywhere. The ticket seller and her minder sit on the west bank, so you'll be charged before crossing, but if you walk across from the east bank you get mugged after the event.

I didn't have any cash with me (just my camera) so an ugly scene developed.

Great place. Bridge is built in 4 days in first week of June each year. They cut the old one down and let it fall into the river where it will decompose. Every family in the community has to deliver 60m of rope to build the new bridge. After 4 days of building they have lots of dancing and celebration. Worth arriving to see this amazing feat of andino engineering and enjoy the celebrations after.

nice spot. still free. we could pass the bridge both ways since it was quiet. good spot for lunch.

Worth a small detour to see this bridge. At time of visit the river is raging under it making it an even more impressive sight.

Amazing road to drive, the last few kms you meander down the valley side to the river at the bottom.

we were asked to enter the bridge -after registration- from the west side. it's single way (no return). still free. every 2nd week in june the bridge is completely renewed. until 9.30 (than we left) no one- except the two guards- was here. worth coming, although the bridge is only a tourist attraction (local take the new bridge near by).

The last 7 km are very narrow and curvy. Might be difficult for big rigs.

The road from Combapata to the bridge is completely paved. Very scenic drive!

Beautiful old bridge, that the local villagers rebuild each year. Admission for free and there's rarely other people :) Definitely visit if you're nearby.

It's a neat bridge and worth stopping if you close by. We were there at a Saturday morning before 10am and no one was there. Not sure if it's normally free, but there are no gates or signs.
