Latest Check-Ins

We didn’t stay here because we went by bus so we don’t have experience with the guys but on the way to the trail there are some more parking spots/campsite to park your car. The last part is a dirt road (for 2km), a bit bumpy but we think it’s not to bad. You can do it with 2wd.

DON'T GO HERE! We parked opposite of the gate and walked in there to ask if it was possible to spend the night. It was still early, about 18.30. Two dogs came barking up, but after waiting for a while nobody showed up. Back at our car a man came stumbling outside the house, shirtless, and shouting in Portuguese. We tried to tell him we didn't speak Portuguese, but he only got really mad and shouted. He seemed super drunk, so we decided to ignore it and don't say anything anymore. About 15 minutes later a car was started and with a loud noise he drove it up the hill with the big lights on, and stopped just in front of our car. We thought he was trying to hit us He started revving his engine very loudly and than drove away. Then he came back with his car and another guy on a motorbike. We asked if there was a problem, and if either spoke English or Spanish. They didn't, but started saying we could sleep in the fence for 30R. We said we would stay outside for now (we were scared of the guys and dogs) but then he started making hand gestures about firing a gun. Needless to say we left and slept further down the road. What a lunatic. We don't recommend going here!

not good for big rigs, but for small great spot! 20 day use, 30 for spend the night, has a cold shower, and toilets, very very simple, but works well... sr. José mantain the place, coffe is for free if you stop there... is really the last place before Bonete trail! we made in 4 hours, is 12km walking, good trail.
