Great place, especially if you have a motorbike. It has a nice rooftop terrace. I paid 15.000 (16 eur) per night. The bed was clean and very comfortable.

Large, rambling villa in a residential area. Other people have written about the moto facilities (all good and true) so I’ll just add that it’s close to good bars and restaurants on the rather fashionable Avenida Italia, and that you can contact Christian on Whatsapp on +56 9 6238 2970. It’s quiet here now - I was the only guest for two nights of three. Where is everyone?

Nice place to stay. Special for motorcycle travelers. You can contact Christian by email. He also speaks English. [email protected]

Mostly all customers are riders overlanding. Actual prices are 10-12 or 15.000 depending on dormitory or room. 20-25 private.

Great comfortable place for motorcyclists to stay in Santiago. 10k for a dorm bed. Garage full of tools. And while I was there Christian helped several travelers with moto issues and gave a few lessons on tire changing. Very recommended.

the best motorcycle hostel in Chile. I came back again. everybody does. always ended up staying 3-4 extra nights. you will meet the rightest people.10k a night. just perfect. have no second thoughts. if you're on a motorcycle in South America. this is the place to be.

Heavenly!! Such a great spot with even better people. Cristian is a legend.

10k for dorm bed. Hot showers and clean facilities. Christian and his family and friends will welcome you in as Moto family and help you with anything you need. Close to tons of cool places and the metro, as well as motorcycle parts and service shops.

I really just want to live here.

This is a perfect place to begin your adventure. We (wife and I) shipped our bike to Santiago and chilled at Hostel Casa Matte for a few days either side of its arrival. We met other local and international bikers who had advice about routes, campsites, local bars and countless other things. The hostel is in a good and safe area and Christian is a great guy.
We rode down to Ushiaia and then back up to Santiago where, of course, we came back to Casa Matte, then we rode up to Canada. I’d definitely go back.

Price update: 13k for dormitory bed. . . . . . . .

Fantastic place and concept - A moto hostel. Lots of likeminded people, great family atmosphere, no worries at all. Beautiful comfortable house. This was like returning home for a week since it was so relaxed and accommodating. A hostel you can just lounge around all day in without worry. Christian is just a genuine good guy who loves motos. One of the favs from the entire americas trek.

Really friendly family atmosphere. Owners are really helpful. Near to all sightseeings.

Here's what sets this place apart from other hostels: most, if not all, the guests are moto riders. We are comfortable around each other, share similar excitements and frustrations. It feels like a family and the homey atmosphere makes it feel more like home than a hostel. Plus, space to work on bikes, comfy bed, fast wifi, easy to use kitchen, plenty of bathrooms, grocery store, restaurants, and metro nearby, and Christian and Francisca are welcoming, friendly, super helpful owners. Love it here!

A warm welcome, kind and helpful hosts, and plenty of other bikers makes this place a great spot to stay.

Christian was super friendly. Even though I'm not a biker he welcomed me with open arms. Free on street parking, seemed like a safe spot. Rooftop patio had great views of the mountains. Everyone staying here were so friendly.

You are not a Customer here, as soon as you walk in the gate you are considered Family. This is a home away from home, I am going to struggle to leave here. Everyone has been so helpful and accommodating, I really appreciate it. If you are a biker this is THE place to stay. Glen the Aussie Biker

Just spent 5-nights here; could easily have stayed for months. No matter what you're looking for in Santiago, this is the place to homebase from. I'll be stopping here on my way south next Spring.

I am Donald from England and I'll take this opportunity to say what a good time I have has staying in Casa Matte for moré that one month, met alot of good people during my time here. Its run by Cristian and his wife Francisca who have been very kind to me and everyone else here. Its been a home away from home for me. The location is very good, Providencia is a great jumping-off point for Santiago, and Santiago is a great jumping-off point for South America. Secure parking behind a locked gate and out of the rain the Rooftop Terrace is a nice place to relax and has great views of the mountains . Cristian helped me with the papperwork / aduana to buy my bike in Chile and he also is able to recommend mechanics, fabricators, especific shops for parts etc and just generally good routes and share their love for all things in two wheels . Its not a backpackers hostal, its pretty much only bikers which is nice as you dont need to worry about keeping your things locked
