Latest Check-Ins

A very special campsite right on the shoreline. Be aware that most of the sites are quite open and exposed so there is not much privacy or protection from the weather. The ablutions and facilities were reasonably clean but could do with improved maintenance / upgrading. They are busy building a huge new restaurant complex towards the river mouth. The area around the building site is ugly and noisy but this doesn't affect the campsites.

Beautiful, mostly level sites right at the rocks overlooking the sea. I think it's around R460 per night for two people - check Sanparks website for any online booking discounts.

Clean ablutions, washer and dryer available for R30 per use. Hikes and runs on offer starting right from the camp.

Watch out for baboons!

Lovely campsite right at the edge of the sea that is immaculately kept by National Parks.

Stayed 3 nights and the place was empty. Pretty much has the pick of all the campsites. I have heard that during school holidays it can be extremely busy, however this was not the case for us.

This is a large site and was immaculately kept.

Facilities were good. Electricity at each site + light. Ablutions in good order and laundry on site with washers and driers. There is also a swimming pool. There is a restaurant and shop on site.

There are a number of walks in the area, with activities such as kayaking up the Storms River available.

Indeed, as mentioned before, great sea-facing camp site, managed by SANParks … but it comes at a price:
- R272 entrance fee (per day of stay!) for „international“ visitors (free with Wild Card)
- camping: pricing is seasonal, we paid R435 (+1% as it is credit card only), but prices are higher later in the year
Some sites are reasonably flat, on others one has to balance
Contrary to private campsites in this price category, water tap and power point not at each site
Sites are very close together
The pool is beautiful … but full of bird shit and feathers as it is fully occupied by the seagulls
If the weather is good, the view is breathtaking …if the weather is not so good, everything gets a good spraying with salt water

Very nice campgrounds directly on the waterfront. The campsites are quite close together. Very good campkitchen in the near. The Swimmingpool are really great in front of the incoming weaves. Good value for money.

Report Check-In

Great sea-facing campsites, caravan campsites are also lovely as are the normal campsites. The campsites are all flat and have braai stands. We always enjoy hiking here; the first day of the famous Otter trail begins here, amongst other shorter day hikes. You can also paddle with guides up the storms river mouth. All activities highly recommended. Birding is fantastic.

***Conservation fee is waived if you have a wild card (these are sold based on family/per couple. Not sure about individual). If you spend approximately 7-10 days in any of the parks, you’ll save a pretty penny in fees.

Report Check-In

Conservation fee for 2 international visitors 540 ZAR. Campsite 500 ZAR. So if you plan to spend 2 days in Tsitsikamma NP, it’s cheaper to stay overnight. Great hike to the waterfall

Great place 437 ZAR for a sea side spot, 2nb line is 390 ZAR. 5 bars 4G with MTN .

Report Check-In

Highly recommend and simply the place to stay and camp to experience the coastal beauty of the Tsitsikamma. Book ahead due to high/holiday seasons. Free WiFi at the resturant.

Report Check-In

There was a strong wind which made it a bit cold. There was no hot water on all ablution blocks. I am not sure if I would stay there again. When you visit the park you can enjoy the view too.
R495 for caravan site with 2 adults and 2 children for a spot without sea view. Just the route behind the sea view sites.
