Description

Ridiculously friendly and helpful big garage: clean and professional. I went in with a persistent tyre issue and came out with a tonne of information, advice, offers of help - and they didn't even charge for sorting the tyre problem. The owner Jean-Pierre speaks fluent Spanish, English and French. Very trust inspiring; recommend them!

We had a problem with our turbo and we contacted Jean Pierre. he was very helpful, he said we could come the next day. We went there and they decided to take out the turbo and check everything. They ordered a new piece (cartridge) for the turbo, I ordered a new valve which they put in. It’s a well organised garage and the people who work there are friendly and you see that they really like there job. I recommend this place, Jean-Pierre explains everything, gives you a correct price. These are honest people, you can trust them. If you are looking for a mechanic in the area of Puebla, stop looking, go to FRAMEX. You won’t regret it.

Modern garage with skilled mechanics. The owner is very attentive and explains what you need to know before making decision what you want to pay for. They made a good job with our ABS issue and within a few hours they fixed it and saved a lot of our money. We paid adequate price and are happy we found this place where we could use wifi, bathroom and got free drinks. The owner speaks 4 languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian). Better is to let the owner know you'll come in advance. The he can find a spot for you. The garage is very busy which is a good sign.

Van was badly in need of servicing and I was coming through Puebla, so brought it back here - irritatingly for the garage, in a tearing hurry to get to the border at the end of my visa. Excellent decision! The garage was rammed full of vehicles but Jean-Pierre pulled a couple of mechanics off other jobs to tend to mine "overlanders, they're always in such a hurry!" - did a great job servicing the van, gave me a deservedly stern lecture about having left it so long since last changing my oil, and fitted a kill switch for me with minimal fuss; did a great job. Again impressed by how clean and well organised the garage is, how happy the mechanics working there seem to be, and how thorough Jean-Pierre is, along with being patient enough to talk me through every step and explain things I really ought to know after this long on the road! He was kind enough to give me a very good price too.

Can't recommend them highly enough. If you give them a little more notice than just turning up and hoping to have it done by lunchtime, they'll thank you for it!!

We had a really good experience with Jean-Pierre. He was friendly, helpful and honest. He is making sure that you know upfront what they're going to do and will ask you and tell you the price before fixing anything. The work done in the garage was very thoroughly. They were the first that were able to fix a misfire issue on our car (4th mechanic to have a look on the car).
Definitely recommend them and would come back if I had a problem with my car around Puebla. For us the price was really fair and not expensive at all. He really tries to help overlanders.

This is THE place to give your car a check-up. Jean-Pierre (the owner, speaks French, English, Spanish) and his team in the big shop were super helpful, not only in helping us diagnose an issue, but they also explained thoroughly why things did or did not need to be done. They also did a big check-up and tightened everything before we continued our Panam trip. Lots of great advice too. JP is also an avid mountain biker too, if you need any help or tips for the area. He also has a separate shop that makes custom furniture if there’s something you might need for your rig too!

Finding a trustworthy and competent mechanic is always a challenge. I always try to fix everything on my own for that reason. A few days ago my horn stopped working and I diagnosed it to a faulty connection in the steering wheel's clockspring. I wasn't able to fix it because the steering wheel was in the way and I didn't want to take it apart myself (feels risky), so I took it to Framex, explained the problem, and they worked on it. Turns out the whole clockspring is one big non-serviceable part... They put everything back together and didn't charge me for the service! Finding a replacement part would be hard and expensive, and not really worth it, so the owner (Jean-Pierre) chatted with me and offered alternative solutions. They really inspire trust (the staff included) and are very helpful. I definitely recommend going there. Bonus: there's a laundromat and coffeeshop with wifi right across the intersection.

This is a "full service" kind of place. Professional, very organized and clean, but expensive. They did clean my car for free though while I was away (probably because they were embarrassed by how dirty it was...).

Had a fair experience taking my truck at this place. Went in for a swap of hoses for the Steering Reservoir and had all the parts. They did the swap and flushed the fluid (at my request), but then they charged me another 300 pesos (not included in the initial quote) to wash the engine bay... their justification was that the swap caused fluid to run all over the engine bay and they had to wash. Ok, but 1. Thats not my fault and 2. If you know that's what will happen (I took it to a shop EXACTLY because I didn't wanted to mess with the potential fluid spill), they include in the quote. They also overfilled the PS Reservoir, but that's an easy "fix", just drained out. In a nutshell, the shop is clean, the attendees seem good, but they overcharged for a wash and overfilled the fluid.
