Description
we parked securely and stayed overnight for three days and it was not expensive. From here, we did e all our sightseeing trips by taxi and paid always by taximeter and the prices were fair. We never paid more then 30R. If you arrive on a weekend, this place will be more than full and you can get only a place after 10 or 11 pm, yes it is true.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

We stayed here for a week and it was very convenient. Enough space for a big rig, cheap (still 12R per day, 50R on the weekend). Felt safe. You can rent bikes here, there are nice bikinglanes along the laguna and the beaches. Also it is easy and cheap to take an uber from here. Warning: lot of noice from the helicopters landing next to you and the honking motorcycles on the road next to the parkinglot. But you get used to it. 😉
Nice thing: You can see the Cristo Redentor from your living room!

Saturday and sunday the parking was full, better you arrive on a weekday.
The parking guys are at the parking from 7 am until midnight.
I started here after last night from 10pm until 7am they charge $12 Rs all day and night cost $50Rs noisy at night secure to stay, I left my van here and went to the beach no problems.

After being chased away from the Sugar Loaf by a movie crew we settled here for a night. Plenty of space during working days, probably very busy during weekends. The constant drone of traffic is more like "white noise".
Report Check-InJust a note on this location - there is no fence or security offered on this lot. The only security offered is a boom gate upon entry, and the area is frequented by pedestrians. The toilets in the heliport close at night, but the petrobras across the road has some too. It did feel very safe, as it is a good area. Not too noisy on a Friday night.
