Description
Campsite on an old railway station in Calitzdorp. Very quirky with rooms in old ticket office , set up tents, backpackers and camping areas with electric & water. Showers, toilets very clean. Big Rigs can be accommodated. Great railway trolleys to ride on! The manager/owner is very friendly and welcoming. The cost is R155 pp

Easy access for big rigs, level parking in all areas. DeKrans winery and bistro in short walking distance. Boplaas winery and distillery also in walking distance. For this who want to do some wine tasting ;-)
Report Check-InSites are partly grass. Sites come with electricity (40 extra per night). Clean ablutions and hot water. It has a nice atmosphere. It's still 155 pppn.

This Place is different! The Owner (bought it in 2021) is hardly working on making this beautiful spot even better!
8 big Campgrounds (power available) and clean Ablutions! The old station is a nice and different surrounding. Equipped Safari Tents for „Glamping“ are also available. The Kitchen Area offers a fridge, a freezer, a stove and a microwave. We paied 140 Rand pPpN. Recommendation!
Report Check-InWonderfull quiet place.Very friendly and helpful people. You can observe the owls living in the nearby rocks or ride the handcars on the old railway tracks.

Report Check-InCalitzdorp and The Station especially is the perfect basecamp: lovely campsite, extremely clean ablutions, wonderful hosts, great spot to start exploring the Karoo. The campsite is at an old station, you can also sleep in the ticket office and ride the trolley cars. Owls live on the cliffs. Cheryl and Mike offer great tipps and quickly become family.
Report Check-InSeveral large permanent camping tents with cover (shade), kitchen with fridge, stove, sink, cooking equipment. Clean bathrooms. Nice grassy area for my own tent. Nice shaded patio area. Very nice, friendly owners operate a pub in the adjacent warehouse across the rail tracks. You can ride the trolley cars. I paid 90 Rand for me and my motorcycle and my own tent.
