Ended up coming back to the lake. Stayed here for a night. Not as level as it looks, but there are some big rocks that you can move to help. Neighboring restaurant blasts music all day.

I feel like an idiot, but I stayed just shy of this pin thinking I was in the right place. I parked in between two restaurants, but it’s clear it was private parking. The guy at the restaurant to the right (if looking towards lake) was friendly and said I could spend the night after I mentioned I’d buy some beer.

Nice spot. But just go to the actual pin and it’s a deserted lot, which would be much better and out of the restaurant’s parking space 😅 realized that after going for a morning jog. Looks pretty level too.

Shady parking, lake front, between two restaurants and a bar. Nice breeze off the lake, confirmed with the locals that it was okay to park and that we were in a public parking area. Saw motmots and swam in the warm, clear lake. Nice trees for setting up a hammock! It was very quiet while we were here. Mild temps compared to other low elevation spots we have visited in Nicaragua. It even rained for an hour in the afternoon! Lots of chickens and a couple of roosters and saw loud music from the neighboring restaurant around 7am. There was a team of a dozen uniformed workers who came to clean up the beach with giant trash bags and machetes. Looks really nice without the trash!

Be aware of electricity cable by the entrance if your rig is higher 3.00m!!!

Endroit très tranquille. Stationnement entre deux resto au bord du lac. Le lac est un ancien cratère de volcan c'est donc super creux rapidement. Quelques vagues, agréable de s'y baigner. Tranquille même un vendredi soir

Very quiet place. Parking between two restaurants by the lake. The lake is an old volcano crater so it gets super hollow quickly. Some waves, nice to swim in. Quiet even on a Friday night

Great spot right with restaurants around. The bar on the left said it was private parking but that there were no problem to stay overnight. Quiet night except a few barking dogs.

We were here on a Wednesday. Arrived in the afternoon, bought 2 beers from the beer tienda. Enjoyed a wonderful swim in the lake and had a very peaceful night. All locals fine with us camping in the carpark. Lots of shaded trees with monkeys above. Would stay again.
