Passamos uma noite aqui, lugar super calmo. Pegamos água do lago para abastecer as caixas d’água para poder tomar banho e lavar a louça. Lugar lindo mas infelizmente estava com muito lixo e virou um banheiro a céu aberto! Por favor recolham seu lixo e enterrem a merda!

We took water from the lake to fill the water tanks so we could take a shower and wash the dishes. Beautiful place but unfortunately it had a lot of garbage and became an open-air bathroom! Please collect your trash and bury the shit!

Amazing place for a night! Such a beautiful view on the lake and mountains. We were alone on this little „island”, a little windy but totally worth it. It was very sunny so we even jumped in this blue freezing water and had a brekfast on the rocks. Not a large place but two cars should fit. No one bothered us, couple of people came to admire the sunset.

lovely spot for the night, we went left down to the little island so less visible to the road and more sheltered from the wind. road quiet at night

Still a good campspot close to town, close to the road, but when you go left of the mirador down to the little ’island’ you’re almost not visible and feels like your right on the lake, very nice! Can be very windy though. During the evening two cyclists arrived and after asking they put their tent next to us, because the right side of the mirador was too windy. Around 8pm four locals came fishing and left around 9:30pm, but didn’t disturb any of us. Very quiet night and morning.

Hermoso lugar al lado del lago esmeralda. Dos camper caben sin problema. Vimos dos vehículos pasar y muy silencioso durante la noche. recomiendo 👌🏻

lovely spot hidden from the road. we went down towards the lake on the left side of the mirador. very few cars passed at night so noise was at a minimum. we saw no locals. when we woke up, another van was stationed at the mirador and a tent was pitched on the right side of the viewpoint. the lake and views were beautiful. recommended.

es un lugar muy cerca a la carretera, el camping queda visible. Llegan personas locales todo tiempo. tienen una vista increíble al lago. pasamos una buena noche. el sitio es tranquilo y no hace tanto viento del lado izquierdo.

Good place, enough for 2 small cars.
Difficult to be really flat but thats okay.
Locals came to enjoy the lake but didnt stay long - might be different on weekends.

Nice spot to stay overnight. Quiet during night On weekends, every space at the lake is used by locals.. Second stay on the way back was not possible.

Nice spot on the way to tortel. First one out of town. It was late so the best choice for us.

If you go down by the lakeside it’s really nice, hill was fine for 2wd. Were several locals fishing (some kids caught one) but all left by around 20h

Nice spot and very nice view. Good for campervan no 4x4 needed. You can also camp with tents. Close to the road but very quiet. I suggere 🤙

So lovely - two spots to park right on the lake, one under the trees which is a little tricker to get to. Nice place to swim and asado. Good for bikes and tents if you want somewhere just out of town. Bit dusty from the road though!

This pretty little spot on Lago Esmeralda is only a few minutes from Cochrane and is the first nice spot we found heading south. Right next to the road (so some road noise) and only partially shielded, we drove down the hill where there is a bit more privacy. Big rigs could park up top at the mirador. Few fire rings. Very peaceful.
