Latest Check-Ins

Signs clearly state the park closes at midnight. The parking lot is part of the park. Camp at your own risk!

Report Check-In

Not recommended on Saturday night. Seems to be a hangout and spot for drag racing. Loud people and cars in the evening.

Stayed here one night and it was a wonderfully quiet and peaceful. No issues and nobody bothered me. There was one or two other people in the parking lot. Internet worked great on my T-Mobile hotspot. Level parking. The park is lovely and the water is beautiful. Highly recommended for a short and peaceful stay.

The last couple of times, we parked our 28’ RV without incident in the parking lot just outside the park.

This place is NOT permanently closed- like last commenter posted. It’s very much open. I went there when it was still light outside and played a round of disc golf then used one of the few BBQ grills to make dinner. Note- There are no fire rings here. This park is mostly a boat launch and small stroll along the river, along with a disc golf course. A park ranger came by at 7pm and locked up the bathrooms, even though the signs out front mention the park is open from 8am to midnight. This park has several power hookups (mostly 110v) but none of them worked around 8pm, when i tried to connect my teardrop trailer to ANY of them. So, I’m guessing the same guy who closed all the bathrooms at 7pm, also shut off an main breaker to all the outlets. Cause, next to each outlet was a circuit breaker and I tried each one to make sure that the breakers were turned On. I even turned them off and then on again, but none of them worked. They may never work. Even during the day. I have no idea. I didn’t try till after dark. Even though the signs read that the park is closed form midnight to 8am, I spoke to 2 locals that said the park never closes (they don’t shut the gates). Since none of the power outlets were working anyway, and I didn’t want to risk having someone kick me out after midnight, I parked my teardrop on the other side of the fence (close to road) and under some trees to stay hidden. No one bothered me. And I would bet you could stay INSIDE the gates all night and no one would care. Another car stayed there the night I was there and they said they were there the previous night and stayed in the gate and no one closed the gate at midnight or kicked them out. I just didn’t want to risk it. Overall, I felt safe and the space was incredibly quiet. I would absolutely stay here again.

This place was amazing to sleep in. I have a van and didn't have any issues. Slept with windows down. It has clean restrooms and has some tables.

Home of the bEast! Stayed here for the DGPT WACO event.

The park is really nice, but there were so many bees. :-(
They kept flying into my vent fan, so I left & didn’t stay.

Report Check-In

Closes at 12am. Might get away with it but not really worth it IMO

Report Check-In

Started off at parks on the other side of the river, asked a ranger if it would be okay to sleep overnight (since there were no ‘no overnight parking’ signs). He let us know that we were not allowed to park there overnight but that Brazos Park East was good (which is this spot). It’s great for a night or two, public bathrooms and of course free!

Nice find!
