Windy place to sleep in but with the lights of the harbor. I guess estuary place is better after checking there too.

Amazing place to stay and watch all the sea life! No problems getting here in 2wd VW van. Enjoy!

Sandy but good track to reach the place. We spent some hours sleeping here after we arrived with the ferry early in the morning.

Beautiful spot, hard sand, dolphins in the evening, a lot of birds, some fishing boats passed by... really nice! Enjoyed a walk through the beach to Palena river where it meets the ocean.

we slept here, and not on the end of the left hand fork, because it was to windy on the beach. much better choice we think! dolphins, lots of birds and just so quiet and beautifull!!! we parked just a bit to the left, couldn't see the sea that way, but it was more private....
we were there at fri-sat night and woke up at 3 am in the morning by drunk locals... they left after 30min though
a boat to isla hermanos costs 80.000 pesos in total, normally for 6 persons, but it is low season, so there were only the 2 of us... did not take the deal

The spot marked on the map is a pretty but small area by the beach on the estuary. If you fork left at the junction of the tracks instead of right, you come to the wide open beach on the other side of the small peninsula, a much bigger area with more choice of spaces. All very beautiful. We saw no penguins but several dolphins immediately off the shore just a few feet in front of us. Soft deep sand at the end, so recommend high clearance 4x4 to avoid getting stuck here. No facilities. Free.

Great place to camp next to a sandy beach. Dolpuins and pinguins very close. No gas station. some Hostels, campings and restaurants. Ferry works 8 to 18:30 in summer.
