Nice spot near the ramp boat. Space for 4 or 5 vehicles.

A few stopped as described. A good grey area of the national forest rules that prohibit camping in the boat launch parking lot and 150 feet of a boat launch. This spot is outside of both of those. There are a few more tent spots to the north of the area where cars can drive in if you're a tent camper wanting more privacy.
The road out to the boat launch was just had new gravel surface put down so pretty smooth drive out.
Just a few locals drove out here during the week. Target shooting is currently prohibited in this national forest but a group of locals still came out here to shoot one afternoon.
Report Check-InDo not follow Google's directions, it's off Hwy 58 and there's a sign for boat ramp. continue to Dixon Field landing Rd. posted "no overnight parking" in parking lot but there's a couple sites slightly past the potty on the right. Verizon LTE 2 bars
Report Check-InQuiet, fairly private area. Only saw three other groups who were either fishing or using the kayak launch.
Gravel road back is bumpy but decently well maintained. Several areas to park in the sun to fill up solar power, but mostly wooded. There is a gravel parking lot near the pit toilet and a wooded lot beyond and to the right, both are flat with plenty of parking area.
Not much of a breeze through the trees so it can get hot without a fan or AC.
White River runs right behind the camping area.
