Report Check-In

Not really suitable for big rigs. Very tight! We had to leave again…

Report Check-In

As previously said, nice view, easy parking on the lawn. Shower and toilet in the chalet, boiler not working but donkey lit so it was fine. Buru very helpful. Call before as he might not be there. Drive past football ground, brown gate. Negotiable on price.

Report Check-In

We can confirm all what is said already. Vernice place and very kind and helpful owner. We paid $ 15 pppn.

Report Check-In

Absolutely best place in the area. Magnificent views with all the basic necessities, i.e. hot water shower, green grass and shore power. Everything clean and neat. Despite the pictogram and the fact that the campsite is relatively small, it can accommodate a big rig. Recommended!

Report Check-In

Nice campsite with great view over QENP. Buru is really nice and helpful. Hot shower (although the pressure was poor).
Quiet at night. Buru helped us shop for veggies and even collected rolex's for us in the morning. A bit pricey compared to others in the area, but was an enjoyable stay!

Report Check-In

Really nice spot with a view over the NP. Manager Buru is very much willing to help you with anything. We'd like to have a beer after a days drive and he went out to buy it for us in the village.
Sometimes no one is at the place. Then you might call the owner (telnr below in other review) our you might call Buru at +256703011104.

very nice place with a great view down to the plains of Queen Elizabeth NP. Nice chalets clean ablutions. no bar no restaurant but great service. If you want to drink a beer or eat a pizza quatrostatione, they bring it from the village.
no WIFI but good MTN Network.
Camping US$ 15 ppn Chalets US$ 100 which seems to me to be overpriced by far.
The place is in direct neighbourhood to the mosque. You do not need a clock when you have to leave early in the morning.
one star minus because of prices

The Gypsy Palace:
Great level grassed campsites overlooking Queen Elizabeth N.P, Lake Edward the Kazinga Chanel and Lake George. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Ablutions spotless with hot and cold water. Staff brought wood and made our fire. Lovely furnished Gazebo area adjacent to campsites. Checked out the chalets and they are lovely with on suite shower and toilets. Located outside the NP but close to all activities and park entrance. $15/night camping. Ele’s and other game visible in the escarpment. Highly recommended

Report Check-In

A hidden gem, most stunning view over Queen Elizabeth Park, wonderful and friendly staff, clean ablutions with hot shower. Easy access to the park without having to pay park fees. Paid $15 pppn camping. Flat camping on river stones.

Report Check-In

When we arrived there was no one at the site and the gate was locked. The people from the village called the owner and he was happy to see us and opened the gate. There are little cottages at this spot, but everything was empty. Still we felt very welcome and stay for a night. Asked $10 pppn by easy to negotiate.

Report Check-In

Nice place with a nice view. But they increased the price to $10 pppn. Expensive for what it is. Staff is nice.
