Botijuela Hot Spring | Tourist Attraction

we went today here, we got there with our cars, 4x4, the road was not bad and Alfredo, the owner was there.
He charged us 1000 pesos per vehicle. He said that he takes care of the road so that's why he charge, as it is not too much money and he is very isolated we didn't mind, he is very nice, he said that we could sleep there, but we decided to continue.
there is a hot spring very very small, good to out your feet os it or just for one person inside, around 32 degrees. He showed us also an disabled geyser which is impressive, 14m deep.
of possible give him some food, he is really far from the city and he appreciated a lot!

we had to turn around 1,5km before the hot springs because the road was blocked (see Pictures). Looks like the owner is either not there at the moment or this place doesen't exist anymore.

Very authentic place!!

We arrived late and Simon allowed us to sleep there (cold night as it’s high altitude). He charged us 1000pesos (+-5€ in may 2022) for the night and the use of the spring in the morning.
He was friendly, and was veeery happy that we gave him some food (bread, cheese and tomato).

The spring is small, with a perfect temperature, but most of all: with a spectacular view! We had it for ourself as long as we wanted.

We came with our Toyota 4Runner 2wd. We have high clearance and good all-terrain tyres. The road is not super smooth (the end of the road climbs quite a bit) but it’s doable with a good car.

oh my god. such a nice place!! the view to the salar is just amazing. the pool itself is ok, for us it was super windy.
the way up is quite steep. if you are not sure if your car can make it,you can park at the bottom (there is a info board) and walk up.
we were also offered to stay for the night. there is a level spot which should work for all vehicles

Small warm pool on Don Simon‘s ground. He charged 200 Peso p.P., but accepts instead Fruit Juice or Pasta.
Spectacular road, 4x4or at least high clearance mandatory. Tremendous view!
