We stopped here looking for a site. Gate locked. Honked, knocked, shouted and nothing happened. Tried all the numbers listed, not in service. All the time our rig was blocking the road. Not a good experience. Moved on to Miramar.

Nice place to stay after the overnight ferry ride to Mazatlan. Hosts are very nice. you park on their driveway which is a bit slanted but they have leveling blocks you can use. beautiful view of the Pacific with a small pool and outdoor kitchen right next to the water. if you are traveling with kids be aware that they do charge and extra $100mxn per child which made it not quite as appealing for us. We would have stayed longer but at $500 per night we moved on after just 1 night. Also be aware that the waves crash against the seawall on high tide which can send a lot of salty mist into the air. you will want to rinse your vehicle with fresh water afterwards.

We just left after 2 peaceful nights here. Len and Margrit are absolutely lovely and welcoming. They have a beautiful home and take great care of the place. We had some nice chats with them in the evenings and went with them to the local Sunday market. The bathroom was in perfect condition with a lovely warm shower, there was a nice pool and outdoor bar area to use and at low tide we could easily access the beach down below to walk and swim (nice warm swimmable water!). Bugs are minor in this area. Price is still 300 pesos per night for camping. You can use water and electricity hookups which we didn’t (although we did get to test if everything works with electricity hooked up). The casita looked lovely as well. The nearby town of Aticama is cute and calm with enough eateries and tiendas if needed.

Recommended for if you’re up for some relaxed time, nice conversations and a good shower!

Had an awesome two night stay at Las Olas right after arriving in Mazatlán via the La Paz ferry. Hosts are excellent people with a wealth of knowledge of the area. Len made some great recommendations for places we will definitely check out on our way to Guadalajara. Also took us on a fun little ride in his VW buggy to a nearby restaurant that was very good. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Report Check-In

Went here for 2 nights and stayed for 10! Best place you’ll find in the area hands down. Len and margit will treat you like family. Their house is beautiful with a pool and right on the water. You have private access to the beach, outdoor kitchen, nice bathrooms with hot water. Aticama (the closest town) is great with good restaurants. Len and margit will tell you the good places! They will also tell you where to get your laundry done for cheap. We stayed so long because it’s what we were looking for in Mexico all in one place. If you’re a surfer there’s multiple breaks just a short drive away. Even if you’re not there’s so much beauty to explore here. Don’t miss this place!

Stayed here one night with Len and Margrit. Very nice setup and nice chats.
Comfy bathroom and a morning coffee with ocean views.

This place is all you need!

I am the owner and we just had a visitor come in with a truck camper that is 3.35 meters 11’ high and 2.55 meters 8’3””wide. It is the biggest camper yet and nothing bigger will fit.

Report Check-In

Len and Margrit were wonderful hosts and they have a beautiful property atop a sea wall with pounding surf and an amazing sunset vista. We enjoyed the clean shower and banos and swam in their crystal clear swimming pool. What a spectacular spot to take a break from overland touring. The owners have lots of suggestions for places to visit and things to do and they sent us off We felt so welcome and we are grateful we stopped for an overnight stay.

Report Check-In

Lovely place to camp a few nights, your staying next to Len and Margrit's home. There is a private shower and bathroom, a fridge if needed. We camped in our tent with the motorcycles next to it. Paid 300 Pesos a night.

Back with Len and Margit for a couple of nights in my way back to the USA and has a great big rest. Lovely conversation and amazing to see their new casita. Great to catch up again. Garden is looking good and the shower is top rate. Clean, tidy, powerful and hot👍

We really enjoyed our stay with Margit and Len. Normally we're sleeping in our tent but Len & Margit offered us their beautiful Cabana. The temperatures been so humid and hot that we're really happy about the AC in the cabana. We spent the hottest nights since the start of our travels in Panama without breaking sweat..
The apartment has a beautiful seaview, a kitchen and a bathroom. The only negative point was that the mattress of the double bed wasn't really comfortable. We paid 600 pesos for the apartment.

Amazing place! Len and Margot are incredible hosts, they've really made this spot is a little piece of paradise with a super little pool, awesome clean showers and a truly welcoming atmosphere. When we arrived, they took us to a great restaurant down the road and we spent the evening chilling in the pool and chatting. It was lovely getting to know them and quite sad to leave.

We've been on the road for 4 months and this place truly stands out. They charged us 300pesos for two of us in camper to park up with electricity and everything included. If you fancy spoiling yourselves, shell out 900 for the casita with ocean views. Delightful

I agree to all the previous post! The stay with Len an Margit was just perfect! This couple takes care of you and love overlanders! They showed us some nice restaurant and the pool is just amazing! Len has also some mechanic skills which might be helpful. Overall great experience! There should be more host like this out there! Thank you so much!

Len and Margit are fantastic hosts
I would second what others have said and I would add that if you have tiny dogs it is not a good spot. We were able to make the gate somewhat dog proof
But it is right on a road that people go crazy fast on

They helped us back our 19 ft trailer out this morning
Only inches to spare but it worked out!

Thanks so much Len and Margit! We had planned to stop here for a night or two, stayed three. Would have stayed longer if we weren’t on a bit of a schedule. Wonderful spot, great hosts that we would now consider friends. Fun mountain biking through the mango orchards. Aticama is a great, little town. Thanks again Len and Margit for opening your beautiful home. We hope to meet again in the future!

Amazing little paradise! Direct ocean views and access, beautiful sunset, nice pool and clean, spacious bathrooms with hot showers. Town is walkable Very welcoming, helpful, open and nice hosts. Thank you so much!

We can't say enough good things about this place! We arrived after taking the TMC ferry from La Paz to Mazatlan. Intended to stay for 1 night, but stayed for 3. Len and Marget are incredible hosts and we felt so at home and relaxed in their gorgeous place. Slept wonderfully each night to the sounds of the waves, thoroughly enjoyed their outdoor kitchen/bar & pool, walked to see birds behind the place, strolled along the beach, and they were gracious enough to take us to a great little restaurant (Casa Manana) one night, and into San Blas for some shopping and exploring on a Saturday morning. My husband spent time cleaning up our rig and Len was super helpful. These two are gems and we would stay with them again without a doubt and highly recommend!

Report Check-In

these 2 gracious human beings really knocked it out of the park! what a pleasure it was for us to hang out for 5 days over Christmas weekend. they showed us around San Blas and organized an awesome birding tour for us. the laguna mentioned before is an irrigation pond but it attracts so many birds that we would stay for hours. the walk is about 1 mile and goes through the jack fruit and mango trees. definitely worth it. hot shower, fast wifi, warm pool and great conversations! these two are seasoned travelers and have some fun stories. I had an issue with a sticking caliper and Len lent me a few tools to get it figured out and a battery charger to charge up our battery. I haven't come across any hosts that would do that! Aticama has some of the best oysters I have ever tried and is within walking distance (maybe a mile away). there isn't much room in the driveway for your rigs but it doesn't really matter since you spend all of the time outside on the grass or on the patio. the dish washing station and outdoor eating area is also very convenient. the tides can come up pretty high and often make the beach unwalkable but it's a treat when it's clear, once or twice a day. we will be coming back this way on our travels back north!

Report Check-In

Great welcoming hosts. Very relaxing place to stay. We planned on 3-4 nights but ended up staying 10 nights. As said before very clean bathroom with a hot shower. A place to do your dishes and different spots to sit and enjoy the view!
Good beach walking when it is low tide, other times the waves splash up against the sea wall, which was for us an attraction. Across the road you can walk to a lagoon with lots of birds.
They can give you lots of information about the area as well.
Easy walk to Aticama for restaurants or shopping.

Definitely a great place to stay! We will be back on our way north.

I stayed at their home for 4 days and I loved it:)
The sunsets are amazing and they took me to a restaurant with the best guacemole in town (it was really good).
The outdoor bathroom was very clean and the spot is very secure. I can highly recommend staying with them:)

Such lovely hosts and such a lovely property! Perfect for our truck camper. There is now an outdoor sink and a patio and table to do some work on. Incredible sunsets and some delicious food nearby.

Beautiful spot with palmtrees, ocean view, access to the beach, pool, hot showers, wifi. Very friendly and helpful owners.

I stayed here 4 nights and had only planned to stay one. I wouldn’t have been able to back into Len and Margets driveway on my own I don’t think but Len didnt hesitate to back it down their narrow driveway for me. I got here at sunset and the view was perfect. They have power and water to hook up too and also a really nice clean bathroom to use with a super hot shower. The property is gated so it’s super secure. They showed me around Aticama and Santa Cruz which are both cute towns with good food and some fun little surf waves if there is south swell. I mostly surfed right in front of their house, there was some fun little waves to mess around on while I was there. The highlight for me though was hiking to Cora falls about a 40 minute drive from their house. Definitely worth a visit and it’s free! Len and Margets place is 200p a night, well worth it for the location, amenities, and vibes!

Lovely people overlanders sharing their beautiful home.
Tis such a sweet couple who have built a place of sanctuary for us travelers.
The roar and power of the ocean, and peace of the forest across the street. Be sure to walk to the small pond to watch the Magnificent Frigates take a bath. This is the perfect base camp for birding. Ask them about the night boat ride and the amazing Potoo.

e highly recommend Len and Margit's perfect little location. We drove our van through the security gate into the backyard on level gravel area overlooking the ocean. They have everything you need for your stay: a super clean bathroom with shower; a covered patio with ceiling fan to enjoy coffee or reading; and the best part is the pool overlooking the ocean with a perfect sunset right in front of you. We had a great time with these guys!

Report Check-In

Perfect location, we only stayed one night after getting off the ferry in Mazatlan from La Paz on our way south. Perfect hosts, everything very clean and tidy!

Perfect location with access to the beach. Excellent facilities. Magitte and Len were so helpful, showing us around San Blas too. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Report Check-In

Good place for a night or 2. Very friendly and helpfull couple! You sleep in the garden of a recently renovated house. Brand new private hot shower, toilet, swimming pool! Electricity provided if you want and mechanical advice (especially for VW). You sleep really next to the ocean and can hear the waves singing loud lullaby s. Great stop!

Report Check-In

Great location. A private house and garden backing onto the ocean with super chilled vibe. Margit and Len have done a cracking job of renovating thier home and offer lovely clean and new everything! They were even having a lawn laid whilst we were there. As hosts, they are a lovely couple and will keep you up all night chatting (if you want😊) and have a tremendous local knowledge. They even hooked us up with a mechanic in PV when we broke down there. Because the high tide comes right up to thier sea wall it's a delightful sound and not constantly available to walk on which adds the the calm.
