What a place but omg what a road.

The place is like bora bora,

But be carefull, the road is really crazy. We made it with our volkswagen t5. But my partner was driving and i was preparing the road with a shovel. My partner raced the car trough the loose sand. There are also buggies going but we wanted to camp so we made the decision to drive. We got stuck once! Haha many people that can help so of it happens, no stress just laugh and stay calm.

We had some amaaaaaaazing kitedays! One side is offshore and so flat water. Other side on shore and super hot water! Like 40 degrees i think. Was really nice. We parked the car where the buggies parked as well in the corner.

The people are so sweet, the kitelevel is amazingly good! We met a famous kiter and he was with a actress. They parked next to us, that was a cool experience.

Further the place is AMAZING!!! If there is wind you have enough shelter places because there is like a little forest. We camped 2 nights. We were all alone in the night. And morning alone walking over the water line. Look fotos!

Nothing there so stuck up enough. Bring enough water. The buggies will come everyday so you can always ask them to bring something.

I think we will come back when there is wind again 🤭🤭

We came on a quiet Tuesday afternoon and was still about 30 vehicles here. There’s a “park ranger” at the first parking lot about 2 miles before the end of the peninsula. If you don’t think your vehicle can make it through the soft sand you should park here and take a buggy. It’s worth it. We drove out in our normal size pickup camper and just barely cleared some of the trees. Some people do it with a 2 wheel drive but you really have to keep your speed up and there’s a couple of tight blind curves with soft sand where if you have to stop for another vehicle you’ll be stuck and cause a traffic jam. So if it’s a quiet weekday I’d say go for it. If it’s a weekend or holiday and you don’t have four wheel drive or you’re bigger than a normal size US pickup camper, you’re going to have a hard time. We didn’t spend the night here, but I think it’s possible if you’re discreet, clean, and don’t ask for permission. Enjoy!

Passamos um sábado de sol e estava lotado. Praticamente não havia lugar pra estacionar. A noite ficou tranquilo e dormimos bem . Local é muito bonito. Muito vento e poucas árvores pra proteger o carro do vento mas tem alguns lugares muitos bons pra dormir. É um point de Kite Surf

Lugar lindo e muito tranquilo, muitos praticantes de kit surf, 5 km de estrada de chão bem arenosa pra chegar até aqui.

Chegamos perto das 7:30 da manhã, passamos o dia, cozinhamos, nadamos, nos divertimos e dormimos. Perto do horário do almoço chegaram algumas pessoas para banhar na lagoa, o local é tranquilo mas parece ser bem conhecido... No dia seguinte fizemos café da manhã e seguimos viagem.
Tivemos uma noite tranquila com bastante chuva.

Lugar muito tranquilo, chegamos às 19 horas e não tinha ninguém. Dormimos tranquilamente, e nos sentimos seguros. Local muito usado durante o dia para a prática de esportes aquáticos. Muito bonito e seguro. O visual pela manhã foi incrível.

This is a beautiful place at Lagoa Araruama. It‘s a very good kitesurf spot, that means there can be a lot of wind. If there is enough wind, different kiteschools and kitesurfers are coming to do kitesurfing. That means, during the day the place can be really crowded. In the evening all of them left.
The road to get to this spot is a 5km gravel/sandy road with some parts with bushes who make the road a little bit narrow. We cutted some of them so at the moment it should be ok. also for big rigs. 😉
