Free clean secure campsite/park near Loja with bathrooms open all night. We stayed on a Wednesday night and no one else was here and was very quiet and there were Personnel on site all night in the administration building. There are established tent sites with fire pit within 500m from the entrance. Covered picnic tables near the gravel parking lot in case it rains. Entrance gate is maybe 3.5m, so should be ok for big rigs.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
By our definition this is NOT an established Campground. You can park on the parkinkg lot of the park besides the laguns. There are two toilets and 3 kioskos which close at 6pm and everybody is gone.
Report Check-InImpossible to reach the campground with a big rig - or even a smaller one. Not sure what happened there, seems like some sort of construction. Super steep access with a really nasty turn. Turned around and went up to the National Park.
Report Check-InNo height restrictions anymore. Nice small parking place at a small lake. There are some comida rápida restaurants and during the week at 8pm we were completely in our own. For free.
Report Check-InVery quit place and ok for big rig. Many places. We was on an Thursday and Friday.
Report Check-InCet endroit est très fréquenté le week-end. C’est pour cette raison que nous sommes arrivés un dimanche après 17:00 et c’était encore bondé. Mais petit à petit les locaux sont rentrés chez eux et la nuit a été super calme
Report Check-InA very cool park to spend one or several days, if you have a pet or children it is ideal, it is not recommended on weekends, the park is very crowded.
un parque muy cool para pasar uno o varios dias, si tiene mascota o hijos es ideal, no recomendable los fines de semana parque hay mucha gente. Gratis la noche
Report Check-InArrived on Mothers Day and I’ll bet there were 200 people here. By nightfall everyone had cleared out and shared the space with Canadian, Swiss/English and Colombian travelers. 6 rigs total. All great people. Very quiet night. Monday came and there were very few people around even though an Ecuadorian holiday. Flush toilets, restaurants and ok Wi-Fi. 3 bars of 3g. Flat, big rig and dog friendly.
Google maps sent me to a locked gate. Put the place in after and it directed me to an open road 3kms away. I’d map it again from Loja where you will have good service.
Free. Tranquilo. Would stay again.
Report Check-InUn lugar muy bonito para visitar es el parque carigan de Loja: cuenta con zonas de camping 🏕️🌲 bicicletas , canoas ,caballos, tren turístico, Puestos de comida, baños y muchas cosas más❤️
Report Check-InFree and very good spot to spend a night. We pitched our tent right next to the parking, because the motorcycles aren't allowed on the camping meadow.
Friendly people all around. Free WiFi at the boat rental hut. Plenty of little fast food restaurants at the parking, where you can also get potable water.
Toilets were free, when we were there - at least there was nobody around asking for money. We got told that there are many people on the weekend, but almost no people during the week.
I cant believe this place is free. Free electricity, free wifi (look down in the comments), 0.15cents for bathrooms, free and potable Water, super nice workers, beautiful lake, beautiful park.
Note: on weekends specially on sundays it gets SÚPER CROWDED. So if you sell something it is good but if you want privacy not that good.
Just to add that there is free wifi here. Go to the boat shed and the wifi name and password are on a sign there.
Report Check-InFist the maps took me to a closed blue gate, so I kept driving until a roundabout, took the 3rd exit and kept going for a few kilometers. we found the right entrance!
very good area, a lot of food options, if you want.
our night was super calm and safe.
restroom 0.15 USD. always clean.
The park is still open. At 19:30 they closed the gate. Open around 7:00 in the morning.
Report Check-InFull gas all country number is 0997700704. Cost five (5) dollars. His name Luis Castillo.
Report Check-InSuper genial y gratis el parqueadero, comidas de todo tipo y económico. Servicio de baños.
Muito bonito lugar, parqueo é gratuito, várias comidas e muito econômico. Banheiro.
Definitely worth a visit! We spend 2 nights here and loved it so much. Secured by night and quiet. Dogs and horses are super friendly and all around you. Food stands are cheap and pretty decent. Friendly staff. Toilet is old but clean enough. And its free, so nothing to complain about. Oh and by the way the lake gives a amazing view.
Report Check-InLovely place and friendly people. More food stands on the parking now. Lots of visitors between 15h and 18h. Quiet night.
Report Check-InAs described before. Very friendly people. Quiet & safe and very nice location. The night security guy even introduced himself to us! Totally recommend.
Report Check-InSuper sweet spot! Horses all around a beautiful lake as you fall asleep to the sound of bull frogs! The security guards came to us as we were shutting down for the night to let us know that they are there and if we need anything. Super friendly! No toilet paper...
Report Check-InVery nice place to relax, in a kind of park, with a small lake that can be hiked around. Perfect for people with children. Benches, playground, some trees, ... Toilets and potable water. Sitting place in the building available. Guarded at night. Levelled parking lot, paved. Very friendly host. The entrance is about 4 meters high, we passed easily with our truckcamper, 3,45 m high and still had a lot of space above it.
Report Check-InPerfect place to stay, but we arrived a sunny day and it was full. Not one small place to park, we had to continue our way..
