Latest Check-Ins

There’s an alternative to this road which is about 60 kms longer but all paved. Rather than taking the 101 all the way, you go from Comandante Andresito to Wanda and then up to Puerto Iguazu.

Report Check-In

For cyclists - it's 30km of dirt road west of this point. Between the turning for the Iguazu airport and this point.
The west 15km half is relatively smooth dried mud (I rode it after a few days of dry weather). The east 15km half is much rockier and bumpier.
There aren't many options for places to take breaks and there are lots of insects and bees so be ready to ride the 30km without stopping for long breaks.
There are also lots of wild cats in the jungle here. Some people told me I should fear them, but others told me I would be fine - and I was fine!
It's a fabulous road. The mariposas are especially glorious!

Report Check-In

Avoid by rainy day unless you want to play in slippery red mud
Coming for the main Iguazú falls entrance, the first 15 kilometers are pretty hard, deflate tires, low gear, diff locked and cutting some branches of tree to get out of steep tracks.
The last part is pretty good

Enjoy
