Could not get my 22' big rig in here because of the tight turn in from the main road (there are cars parked along the road in both directions). Also, there are vendors set up in the alley and motorcycles parked that would all have to be moved for me to fit. Bummer because I wanted to dump my black tank.

Report Check-In

You will find the entrance by the Del Moro Street just after the Oxxo (it look more like a alley!) we found out when leaving that the landlord is the eldest: Elva. Some speak I bit english. From now on, it is 250 pears / pers. / night. there is toilets but they are often close and cold showers, NO electricity. At each ends of the alley, there is houses. People lives here. NOTE THAT At night (starting at 17h), they close the entrance with a restaurant till 23-24h! so if you get out in the day with your vehicule, you won't be able to come back in! we found a way in by the other side of the alley on 200 (a close the metal door on a little dirt road that you have to open by the inside. be aware that my F-150 pass (not without a scratch tho) but anything bigger will not!
Really loud music from the bars and restaurants around (even the week)! kids and family"yelling" till 23h and pass... and now, I have someone sleeping (and snoring) in a hamac right in from of my door, just behind my curtain, in MY "camp" spot! don't really recommend it. some free spot are WAY better then that, less noisy and more private even in the street!
Pretty good location tho, directly in a little stretch of restaurants, "beach clubs" etc... and right next to a lavandoria that took care of our close herself. note that the beach has really big waves so it is not a place to take a swim but more to surf if you are good at it.

Report Check-In

We slept here for one night for 150 pesos per Person. For one night it was okay for us. The spot is not bad but the bathrooms are really dirty and there is no wifi but otherwise it’s really central and right in front of the beach (only cross the street). There are only 3-4 spots for vans, which are flat.

We got tacos served to the van, that was quite nice!

We went there for surfing but in my opinion the beach is not so good for beginner surfing. There is a spot on the south but it’s very very crowded and the waves are small.

What a great location in the middle of Zipateca, across from the beach, a safe secure, gate closed at night, shady trees, water and electricity at most spots. Bathroom have seats and showed have cold water. This is an older piece of property and looks so, lucky for us it’s a hidden treasure in this popular tourist party town.

There are two restaurants that open around 6pm at night in the driveway, get there & leave before they open. We highly recommend Mamá Malú’s 15 peso mushroom tacos or fish tacos 3x100 pesos! Great cheep eats for a change from 200 + on the Main Street.

This is a notorious part town, loud dance club base style music all night almost every day of the week sometimes till sunrise we are told. Both our nights here the music went to about 3 or 4 then the party moved to the Hotel pool next to us. FYI 😏

Report Check-In

The place is actually quite nice. Super central, partially shaded, it has water, electricity and disposal, but: A Shepherd is chained 24/7 on a 3m leash.
When I asked why the dog was chained, they said he was aggressive. Of course, the dog is aggressive by being chained! Cruelty to animals?
The toilets have no toilet seat. The owners are super lazy and do not clean up. Dog poop is lying around, nobody cares. The trash can in the toilet is not emptied. The light bulb in the toilette is not there. The sink is extremely dirty. No WiFi. Attention: directly opposite is a beach disco, therefore very loud music until 2 or 3 o'clock (except Mondays+Wednesdays) Pro: Oxxo right next to it. Own Restaurant.
We paid 300 pesos per night for 2 people with a 6 meter camper. There is space for 7 Campervans not longer than 8 meters.
Because of the dog torment and dirty area i can NOT recommend!
update: At our last afternoon there, the dog was for a few hours free. Fantastic!

We stayed here for two days after a long drive from Puebla. Pro: 30 seconds to the zicatela beach with a nice sunset each evening, lot of shadow, very good barbacoa tacos just next to your van, three of the five beaches of Puerto escondido in walking distance. Con: you can not leave the campsite past 5pm, because they have restaurant chairs in the entry (she told us that before we paid), the toilets and showers are filthy, dog poop everywhere, some clan-family member very unfriendly (some not!), the price of 150pppn is ridiculous, no usable wifi, small electricity current, very loud music at night until 3am. Other people told us that this was once a really nice place, but they fired the only guy that took care of everything. Now the place is going down. We would not go here again, because we do not want to support this family clan anymore.

3.5m high big rig in here no problems.

Do not stay at this RV park unless you plan on never leaving via car. We like to park our camper and leave to be able to explore the town in our truck, as do many travelers. At this park, they have a food stand set up in the entrance and tables for about 20 diners. In order to leave the park, you have to move all diners and food stands. You cannot fit through the exit otherwise. Even when we had an emergency, the staff was extremely unhelpful and acted like we were crazy for wanting to leave the rv park in our car. When a food stand customer berated us for leaving the rv park in our car, the manager did nothing. It was a huge bummer of an experience. We’ve never been to an rv park that has restrictions on your ability to leave. Unrelated - the sites don’t have adequate power or water pressure. When we were there, there was only one other camper and the power still sucked. It’s very loud from all of the parties on the beach. I would avoid.

We loved it here! 50 meters from the sea and in the middle of the cute town of Zicatela. Clean bathroom and big camping spots under the trees. Only 200 mp for full hookup. We ended up staying a week.

Report Check-In

It’s ok if you line to be packed like sardines. No room between cars, loud all day all night and no one drop of breeze. maybe cool in low season

Report Check-In

We stayed almost a week here. Malu family is very nice. They own the campground and the 3 restaurants who are located on this lot. During Christmas the beach was very busy. Every night loud music from the beach bars. But the location is perfect. The price still is 100pesos por persona.

Report Check-In

Highly recommended to enjoy the best of Puerto Escondido !
We loved our stay at cabaña Eden. The campground is very well located, right in front of the Zicatela beach. There are many restaurants, bars and shops around but the campground itself is very quiet.
It is also safe since the campground’s gate is closed every night.
The spots are mostly leveled and in the shadow because of the many trees growing around.
Small and medium rigs would fit. There is water and electricity at each spot.
Restrooms and showers are clean. Shower is cold - but who cares, with this weather? Take some toilet paper with you.
The host and its family are just great: very nice and friendly, they helped us with everything we needed, from organizing surf lessons to finding the right person to help us repair our van.
Last but not least, there is a very good and quite affordable restaurant on the campground, run by the family. It is called Casa Malù. We loved the tlayudas and the huarraches there - we ate there every night for around 200 pesos for two and are already missing it!

Report Check-In

Nice place, well located in front of the beach and in the center of Zicatela with restaurants and shops around. The campsite has cabanas and a restaurant. Cold shower and toilet available. 100pp/night. We recommend this place.

Report Check-In

nice place between highway and the lagoon, basic cold showers, toilets in restaurant, swim in the lake & watch birds. Took the bioluminacense tour, they picked us up & dropped us back at the campground for $250 each, pretty cool to see the fish light up as they swim.
there are plugins available on the sites, also dump facility. paid $200/night with power

Report Check-In

Prices now up to 100 pesos per person, but you actively have to look for the person to pay. Slightly weird. The pool next door can be noisy all day long, but is usually quiet in the evening. Else prime location, and nicely quiet!

Report Check-In

Weird one for us. Maybe BC it's low season but we pulled in around 6pm no one else there. Showers were shut but toilets open. No one approached us and we left at 8am the next day and didn't speak to anyone, so didn't end up paying. Had running water useful for filling out own shower though! Great location.

This place is such a gem! We stayed at El Salvador’s the night before finding it and were so happy we moved here . It is half the price, and twice as good. Well groomed dirt sites. About half of them have great tree coverage for shade and rain (only downside is sometimes the squirrels throw nuts at you from them which is annoying). It is in the perfect location of Puerto Escondido, near all the shops and restaurants and surf, but tucked away and very safe. The owner is the sweetest, and so happy to have guests. The groundskeeper raked our site each morning and even cut us some fresh coconuts to drink. You have an oxxo station open 24 hours nextdoor which is convenient for groceries as well as a taco restaurant on the grounds. Really a great site here and look forward to coming back. WiFi from the hotels nextdoor works pretty well, too.

Report Check-In

We ended up staying here 2 nights. Good location. Safe. Hook-ups at each site. Decent bathrooms and showers with lukewarm water. Wifi pirated from hotels next door works well. Felipe, the owner, is very kind and helpful. The strip along the beach is full of restaurants, hotels and cute little shops. The beach is more for surfing than swimming, but we've been told Playa Carrizalilio is a good place to swim. We paid 90 pesos per person / night.

Report Check-In

Good spot to stay for a couple of days... in the middle of all the action but still quiet. 80 pesos per person still with toilets and showers. Would stay here again.

Report Check-In

Nice campground but nothing too special.
Electrical, water, dump, wifi from hotels nearby and toilets + showers.
Spots pretty close to each other, but quiet and lots of shade under the palm trees.
80 pesos per person, stayed one night.
Google Maps will probably send you the wrong way - keep in mind these road doesn't go to the left when coming from Las Brisas road! You have to come down from the other end of the road to end up here...

Report Check-In

We stayed for three weeks here. Simple and nice campground, very well located especially if you want to surf Zicatela or if you're a retired Canadian or American and want to hang out with your folks. We paid 80MP/pp with electricity. Bring your toilet paper. We ended up spending two nights on the street because they were having a wedding at their property. It felt safe but very noisy (it was during the weekend). We had some issue with our transmission and Felipe (the owner) recommended us a mechanic he knows (El Tico). In the end he could not get the part we needed but he was very honest, so if you need some repairs done, ask Felipe. Big rigs such as big and long buses will not fit due to the narrow entrance between the Oxxo and the restaurant in front. Truck campers or unimogs are fine.

Report Check-In

Decent campground. 80mxp pp/pn. Clean showers. Right off malecon look for Oxxo and go up ally. Very quiet spot. Wi-Fi from hotel next door, not fast. Pass word surf2018 username altos.

Report Check-In

Camping is open and was a good choice for our rig. We didn’t enter in EDDA’s, because we were too high (13ft high). Good place close to the beach, toilets and showers okish (mexican standard), good restaurant on site. Some noise from the bars, but not too bad.

Report Check-In

80 pesos per night per person.
clean, really quite for the emplacement (in the middle of the night life center).
Electricity, bathroom and shower.
A bit of shade in the afternoon.
Open as a restaurant until 10pm.

wanted to go here but apparently it is closed. it didn't look well taken care of either.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for a couple days, pretty good little spot, nice family. No complaints, quiet at night when we were here (weekdays)

Overall pretty clean, we got a spot that is in the shade for the second half of the day. $140 pesos for two people per day.

No smells of sewage as previously posted.

awesome gravel/sand large parking lot just behind the oxxo on playa zicatela. its the perfect hidden oasis of safe camping in the middle of a very commercial tourist zone. it says no dogs but they let us and our neighbor camp with dogs for $70 pesos per person/night. they lock the gate at night and give you a key. clean bathrooms, showers, running water, and electricity. located across the street from the main break in the perfect spot that you cant even tell is there. elba the mother and juan the son run the campground and they are very friendly.

Report Check-In

We were here for 3 nigths. Shower and restrooms were ok and we had electricity and water for our truckcamper. The place itself is nothing special but a good place to discover puerto. Place is secure and during the nigth they close the gate. The beach is across the street. No signs for the camping. If you are coming from north just turn left after the oxo at zucatella beach.

Wonderful little camp spot right off surf beach. $70pesos a person. Clean bathrooms. We were the only ones here.

Report Check-In

Just off of Playa Zicatela in Puerto Escondido. Back in dirt parking with hookups, cold showers, and pirated wifi from the hotel next door. Strong, strong wafts of sewage every so often and if the disco across the street is open its loud until about 3 am. Talked the host down to $4,64/person

Price: $4.64/ person
