Description

The Host is really friendly and he can speak English.
You can rent little rooms with one king size bed and a bathroom for 400$ per night.

This is no longer an RV park per se but they still let you park here on the big concrete parking for 200pesos with toilet/cold shower; if you want power they'll charge 100pesos extra and 25 pesos for water.

You can make a Flamingo Tour with a mototaxi (200 pesos pp) and probably a horse riding tour.

Latest Check-Ins

Really great place to stay. The owner Humberto is really friendly. Very close to a beautiful beach. Outdoor showers. Good bathrooms. We were here over the weekend and it was very quiet.

If you want to do the flamingo tour walk down to the beach And walk towards the town. There will be some boats there which you can rent. We paid 2000p for 4 people on a private boat. The captain was really cool and let the kids steer the boat. I think he was called Javier.

Report Check-In

We stayed 5 nights here. Beto was super friendly and helpful and speaks excellent English. very short walk to the beach, lots of space for larger rigs, and more private than some of the other options. They are in the process of reopening the hotel soon while also creating an RV park with hook ups, so it will be busier and very different a few months from now.

Take Calle 24/25 when coming in with a larger vehicle. We are huge compared to most and had no problems coming in.

Report Check-In

Went for three nights, stayed for four. Plenty of flat level space for our fairly large self contained rig. Perfect location- walking distance to town, but far enough out to be away from noise. Good access to the back roads that lead to the biosphere and salt flats, and a great almost private beach. Bathrooms are basic but perfectly acceptable by Mexico standards, showers are open but perfect for a rinse and shampoo after a swim in the sea. Beto is super helpful and welcoming. We travel with three dogs and we had to monitor the dog situation to make sure the yard dogs were tied when ours were out since one of the yard dogs is territorial/protective, but it was fine. $200p/night, plus a one time $25p to fill our tanks, which was a fair amount of water. Recommend staying for more than one night because it takes one night to get used to the peacocks screaming “help” all night. However, they make you feel very safe since you know they are protecting the closed compound. If you have a big rig, go in and out on the double road, C-4 to C-25, not on the main waterfront street like Google Maps will take you.

Report Check-In

there Is no more hotel, no more pool now. Just a huge parking lot without shadow, no electricity. it looks abanded. After minutes the owner showed up and asks for 300 Peso now per Person! I asked for what and he mentioned to stay safe and for the beach. Well - I left! You can stay free at the muelle if you book a tour (wich is absolut recommended)

Report Check-In

Very nice stay. Beto was very helpful with us helping to show us the fish market good jumbo shrimp. Beach is nice and calm when we stayed. Nice place!

Report Check-In

We spent a pretty good couple of days here. The security is excellent, good high fences, and with 2 gates which are locked at night. Berto, the owner, used to live in the border town Tijuana and speaks good English. He took the time to make us feel at home and explained in detail the flamingo boat tour options available. His horse, Princessa, is a real treat too!

The showers are outside ones. There is reasonable wifi. And the price a very reasonable 200Ps/night for the two of us car camping, no hookup.

Report Check-In

We didnt stay as we needed only a shower. we used the outdoor shower in the garden for 20 mxn per person. owner is friendly and english speaking and definitely wants to sell his rooms to you. the place looked closed from outside but we just knocked the door. huge parking available. pool has no water. direct beachaccess

Report Check-In

Friendly owner, but didn't look as nice as on the pictures from older iOverlander comments. Has no palapas anymore, Pool had no water, sanitarios where ugly, but luckily we could use a bathroom in one of the cabañas. We made the Flamingo Tour with the mototaxi of the owner (200 pesos pp) and saw a lot of flamingos, but also a loooot of trash evereywhere, very ugly :-( Don't forget your mosquito repellent!

Report Check-In

Perfect!
Super endroit pour découvrir Celestun.
Accés direct à la plage.
Humberto, le propriétaire est vraiment sympa.

Report Check-In

arrived here after a long drive as we thought that the picture posted by others are worth it. well to be honest, the only really nice things were the very friendly owner and the short walk to the beach. you are not parked on the beach but rather on a big parking lot. if you only park without bathroom use you pay 100 pesos. if you want to use the bathroom it is 200 pesos per night. the bathrooms are simple which is not the problem but they haven't been cleaned in some time unfortunately. the only shower we found was an open shower next to the pool. unfortunately the pool was empty. the beach is stunning but there are tons of sandflies. so we left after one night.

Report Check-In

Umberto, the owner, welcomes us very friendly with great pride in the NEW swimming pool. The place is very well located directly on the white beach and very close to Celestun. The pool enhances the space a lot and is always worth the money. Actually we wanted to stay 2 days, not least thanks to the pool we stayed 4 days. The costs: space 200p, electricity 100, pool 50p / p. We recommend this place.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

very nice place to stay overnight for Campers, big rigs, cars or if you book a room . Pretty new, very clean (see pictures) basic confort but we paid 400pesos for a night(you can bargain at 325 for a longer stay...)
Umberto is very friendly and gave us many advices .

Report Check-In

Great spot, just far enough from the main beach boardwalk area. Humberto was an amazing host!! Super friendly and accommodating. We camped on the beach right outside his hotel. 200 mxn per night to use wifi, water, showers, toilets. The second night his wife made us an amazing dinner! It was a short walk down the beach to a couple of restaurants and vendors selling marquesitas. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area!

Report Check-In

This has been somewhat of a difficult review to write as I feel the previous reviews are correct. It is hard to say what this place is. The hotel room has no air-conditioning no TV no paintings and lacks anything aside from a bed and a futon. I wouldn’t say it’s an RV spot either as there are no hook ups. Wi-Fi is only available in one area. For me being self contained was definitely a plus there are very few eating options. There is a big concrete parking lot but that’s about it. I paid 400 pesos per night for the hotel room. I didn’t ask about camping because it’s not really set up for that. The beach is fantastic. Easy to find. The managers of the hotel are super fantastic speak English

Report Check-In

Looks abandoned and Humberto wasn't home when we arrived. We called the number on the sign and he told us to enter through the backyardgate (better said backbeachgate) which was open.

You camp on a huge concrete slab next to the natural beach. Humberto is very nice and willing to help. He is socially a bit off tough.

He offered us
to camp for 100MXN pp with acess to bathrooms and outdoor showers which haven't been used or cleaned for months

a room for 300MXN pp which are spacious, clean, ensuite bathroom, ocean front view with king size bed

next day the rooms were 200MXN

mototaxi ride to see flamingos at 150MXN (not sure if pp or in total)

The rooms are a steal. If you are here fir just a night to see flamingos you will likely be better off by camping at the flamingo jetty.

Report Check-In

this place looked abandonned, but it was open. More a parking than a camping. price : 100 pesos for parking only. 200 pesos if you want to use toilets , showers and wifi.
The showers were outside ( just a ramp on a concrete floor)
Toilets in a disgusting state.
We were told to dump in the field next door.
Not to be recomended.

Report Check-In

As described, we stayed here for three nights with a 24 feet, outside the shouts of the peacocks, nice place. Humberto the manager is adorable and does everything to make your stay easier. Easy access to the beach.

Report Check-In

There was nobody there when we arrived and it looked deserted/run down. Got attacked by the dog when trying to look for someone (thank god he could only grab the pants) and when someone did came out they told the owners weren’t here and you had to call the number on the board. Didn’t feel right, didn’t stay.

Update: accidentally met the owner later on, and apparently the dog has puppies and reacted protectively for that reason. Friendly guy, felt really sorry. He said that you can book several tours with him (horseback, kayak, tuktuk).

Report Check-In

Really quiet place even if it doesn't looks incredible at the first sight. Humberto was really friendly and let a room open for the bathroom. Really nice tour in tuktuk with him. Free cocos from the trees😋 Be sure to take food with you, there's only 2 restaurants open until 6-7pm and small abarrotes like oxxo.

Report Check-In

Such an awesome stay! Humberto is really a very caring person!
We stayed for one night (200 Pesos for the van including a really nice parking lot and a bathroom with everything) and we would have stayed longer if we weren't that scare in time.
The flamingo tour (150 Pesos pP) is really worth it! It's not like the touristic boat tours, just a private tour in a tuctuc where you get super close to the flamingos and additional information.
Humberto is not only a recommendation, but a must do! Thanks for everything!

Report Check-In

Plein d'eau 25mxn. Wifi moyenne.

Report Check-In

We stayed 2 nights, 150 MXN/night only parking (not using the showers), water 25 MXN, WiFi, no electricity, no dump.
We made a beautiful 2 hour Flamingo tour with Humberto in his TukTuk, 150 MXN/person. He checked his route before, though we could be sure to see flamingos close.

Report Check-In

I rented a room with private bathroom and hot shower. The mattress was excellent, WiFi quite fast. The sea is one minute away. 300 pesos.
Umberto did his very best to make me comfortable. His English is excellent.
Before taking me on a flamingo tour he explored on his motorbike whether there were enough flamingoes around. We saw many flamingoes and there will be even more in December and January. The tour in his motor taxi was 150 pesos. I recommend the tour, the accommodation and , above
all, Umberto for his friendliness and willingness to help .

Report Check-In

Stayed 1 night. 200 peso for pickupcamper two adults incl. shower in an appartement. no water or electricity. Wifi yes. Too many mosquitos.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was a good and relaxing stay! We ended up renting an apartment with huge bed sofa and fridge for 700 a night (after negotiations). I feel it was not cheep, but fair for what you get. And the horseback riding (for kids - 100 pesos an hour) is a super cool thing to do. I can def recommend this place —- only there is no electricity for RVs. Hope they improve it soon.

Report Check-In

Parking is in a big open concrete lot, some shade under palm trees.
There are some palapas on a patch of sand next to it which are nice to sit down, but don't expect to have the sea right there next to you, you can barely see it from the lot.
You have to walk about 50 meters past some trees to get to the water. Also while we were there it was full of seaweeds and very smelly so we couldn't go in.
Apart from that, nice stop for a couple of days if you are looking to relax under the palm trees and get some good wifi.
No electrical, but showers had hot water and bathrooms were OK (not very clean though).
Very windy at night, and quite hot during the day, specially not being able to swim.
Humberto is super nice and helpful, great guy.
Since we stayed for 5 nights to stay away from Easter tourist madness, we negotiated 125/night to stay, it's more expensive otherwise.

Report Check-In

Came for one night stayed for three. I recommend this place 100% 150mp a night for camping, great wifi, hot showers, right near the ocean, tons of coconuts and super friendly host! You can also rent horses for 100mp per person which was great! Like previous posts mentioned there are nice/clean rooms to rent but we just slept in our truck.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

We came back here with other people who rented a room. Room was very nice with private bathroom (hot shower and toilet) a double bed and a sofa which can be used as a bed for 2 people more. 400 pesos per night for the room and always 150 pesos for the RV.

Report Check-In

Place like described. It‘s a great stop! There is good Wifi, a small bathroom and it is really quiet!
Humberto (the owner) asked us to tell the new prices for 2018 in iOverlander. It should be 200 per night - including bathroom with hot water, Wifi but in the moment no electricity. It is possible to fill your watertank, too. We still paid 150 per night.

Report Check-In

Very nice and quiet place. 150 pesos for RV per night . It's not a price per person. Humberto, the owner, is very kind and helpfull. You can fill your water tanks up for 20 pesos but no dump.

Report Check-In

Perfect place! We stayed longer then planned. 100p/night for 2 people in a van, with a palapa, great wifi, bathrooms (shower is hot only for a few minutes but then it’s not really cold, still great!), the ocean and free kayaks. We took a ride with Berto on his moto taxi to see the pink flamingos and the ruins of a little village, almost 2h for 150p/person. Highly recommended !

Report Check-In

This place is great. Humberto the owner is such a nice guy. We paid 150 pesos a night. They don’t have electricity anymore due to an overload he lost the power he used for cars. They have a bathroom with hot shower you can use. It’s right in front of the beach and the ocean is beautiful. We walk to town at night for pizza at El Lobo. Everything was perfect.

Report Check-In

info from the owner : because of repairing there is no electricity available from April 28th for about 3 weeks. The place is like described.

Report Check-In

Convenient and cheap ($150) place to spend the night before a morning flamingo tour, the best time, before it gets crowded. Level cement parking 100 yards from the beach, in a gated area, safe, bathroom with shower behind the hotel. The rooms were quoted at $600 because of Semana Santa but said that normal prices would be $400 - $450.

Report Check-In

It's a very nice campground and a very nice owner. We've made a trip with a tuktuk to the salt mines. In the river to there are flamingo's to spot. The salt mines itself are very interesting to see. But only in produce outside the rain saison, even as the flamingo's, they are there from december to march. We spend two nights, it was 150pesos per night, including electricity, water, hot shower, cocosnuts and wifi (moderate till fast). Tomorrow we are going to make a ride with the horses from the owner.

Report Check-In

Very nice place and owner. 150p the first night, then 100 the next ones. Rooms for 200p.

Rly cool place right on the beach and the host is so smart and the whole time happy and smiling ,just ask him if you need something. It's a big place we didn't camped there because you can rent here nice and clean little rooms with a bed and a bathroom for just 300$ per night. But i think you can camp here rly good too it's should be also no problem with bigger rvs he told us that the toilet for campers isn't working but if you have a rv I'm rly sure you have a toilet and a shower in it and water you can get from the host camping cost 100$ per night and I think with water and electricity 170$ per night but I'm not sure. If you like coconuts here are a lt of them. You also have 2 kayaks at this place which is free for every costumer.
WiFi is also here and it's average/fast

I can recommend this place we stayed 2 nights and everything was perfect it's also close to the centrum you can walk 5-10 min
