Camping around a dam filled lake. Wild burros so noise from them during day and night. 25 for the night. Toilets and sink. No shower’s. Shaded pic nic tables and great Verizon service. Not much privacy fyi.

Nice campsites at this park. I got there early in the day so I paid the $7 for a day pass. Starting at 1PM they allow you to check in to a campsite (possible to reserve a spot). $15 for primitive - just a parking spot and space for a tent. $22 for a semi-developed space - includes covered picnic table, grill & fire ring. I got a spot in the Desert Tortoise campground and found an area to relax & swim in the lake. Beautiful area!

This lake no longer has dispersed camping. We were told due to people trashing the shoreline there are now designated “areas” assigned so they can track the folks incase they trash the place. Must reserve ahead of time. We got here on a Sunday evening about 530 and there was no camping available. Ended up at pleasant Rv across the way and luckily they have some off-road dry camping up a hill away from the big rvs etc.

Tried to visit 3/21/2021, Lake Pleasant dispersed camping is closed. Gate attendant said they had to close it because people wrecked the area. Only a limited number of established spots available now, with reservation.

Ok place to camp. Quiet when we were there. Lots of tiny midges that invaded our van at sunset.

Came in at night and had a fairly hard time finding a spot. Tons of people in the formal camp sites and a lot along the shore. Ended up sleeping by some large RVs with generators... probably not a place to come if you’re a fan of nature. But with that said it is unique and cool to experience.

Great place for one or more nights. We did have a hard time to find a level spot and it was bumpy to get to the shore.
Price is now $ 15 per night
