A small dispersed camp site below Peminee Falls. There is a second site nearby. No Verizon service.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Easy to acces In van, large area with a private spot off to the left. We made a new fire ring. Short walk to falls and river with a swimming hole just below. Perfect for one night for us and the dog !
Report Check-InReally nice, quiet spot. You could fit 3 cars down there but it’s really just intended for one person/group since there’s just 1 fire ring. The people before me left a good amount of firewood but also left a bag of trash. Please practice LNT to keep this spot beautiful. I occasionally got 1 bar of service with Verizon but not enough to make a phone call.
Report Check-InGreat place next to the river and falls. Some trash around, including a makeshift toilet full of human waste in the trees above the campsite. That being said it's a spot I'd recommend.
Report Check-InI hesitate posting this so we can try and keep this place to ourselves, but you should know. We had a nice spot on the river and received some nice new neighbors late in the night. All in all worth the drive.
Report Check-InLovely little site right on the river. Fire pit and picnic table. There are other sites as well along River Road, some visible from the road.
Report Check-InAwesome secluded and quiet spot with a nice view. There is also a second site very nearby and on the way to this one but it’s deeper in the forest so without the river view.
Not a lot to room for a trailer and if it rains a lot you may need 4WD to get in and out, especially because you have to go uphill on your way out. We made it in a Sienna when it was mostly dry. The second site is more accessible so you can stay there instead.
The two track that leads to the site is kinda hard to see from the road.
The views are worth it.
No Verizon signal.
Report Check-InAwesome spot great views away from road very popular had at least 5 people trying to get spot was there eary there are others around
