Much less traffic than FR 525 across the highway. There is one big level spot a ways down the road before it gets really rocky. Room for 3 vans, easy

Verizon cell signal was odd: sometimes I had 2 bars and things loaded quickly. Sometimes I had 1 bar and phone and Jetpack behaved like I was utterly offline.

lots of open spaces along the trail,, but trail gets increasingly rough and the camp spots are not very level

Decent spots down forest service 9845. Road requires high clearance vehicle or moderate clearance with very careful driving. Can hear highway noise - pretty loud even a ways down the road. We camped before the road started to descend. Pretty busy on a Saturday late March but campers were pretty well dispersed and the evening/night was quiet. Definitely a well used spot.

I pulled into the first big lot before really driving down the road because i have a low clearance 2WD van. But that did just fine. Definitely road noise all night but you pull into there knowing that’s going to be the case! A couple of RVs there and some loud child. It works for the night and good to know you’re legal there. That’s the pro. Also good Verizon service, I was able to hotspot and use my laptop to upload photos, wasnt lightning fast, but it worked.

Nothing special, but a good place for a night or two. The roads are pretty rough for our van, so we just stayed in the first open area with a few other vehicles. By a busy road, but we slept fine!

Pulled in on a Wednesday evening, day before Thanksgiving. I couldn't believe how packed it was - every spot taken and not enough room for me to turn around (in a Ford E250 van) - ended up pulling into the first spot I could find miles down the road, tiny pull-off halfway down a hill. Took three tries to get out the next morning. Road is very rocky and uneven, also narrow. not as bad at beginning but once you get a mile or two in. could be a very nice place if not crowded. but it was quiet and i slept well. felt very safe. definitely don't recommend for non 4wd rigs or big rigs.

Report Check-In

Was able to find a free spot rolling in after dark on a Wednesday.

Convenient area. Lots of places to park along road. Somewhat crowded during week and weekend. Some OHV activity. Pretty dusty. Verizon signal comes and goes. ATT signal is faster for me but also not super stable.

Report Check-In

Good spot, road quite rough and would be bad if wet, but there room for a few rigs just off the highway without too far. Road quiet at night
