Stayed for 24h on a weekend. The fishermen were further east, so behind a bush I had complete privacy. Some birds, no grazers as the grass was half dead and overgrazed, full of droppings. I wasn't bothered by mosquitoes but all other possible insects, especially flies, were abundant to the point of disgust. I had high expectations from the other comments, but at least this time of year I was disappointed. When the visibility was good though, beautiful mountain view!
Report Check-InI spent last night here with no problem, but today a park ranger came up to me and said very politely that overnight camping was not permitted. However it was allowed in the two car parks at the north and south of the lake
Report Check-InGreat large lake beach with a lot of horses and donkeys and birds, damn this is heaven. vast place for camping, also trees for hammocks, absolutely stunning
Report Check-InGreat spot. Lots of space. Some fishermen. Lots of horses and birds. We even saw gray flamingos and pelikans.
Report Check-InPeaceful, free and pretty. Livestock and associated biproducts, but hey, its the countryside guys
Report Check-InBeautiful camp spot, many places to choose from. If you are a bird lover, this is paradise ;-) At night the (loud) noise of frogs, during daytime quite some water-flies that don't bite, but they settled down soon after we arrived.
Report Check-InGood for tent or motorhome, Fairly flat ground by the lake, access through dirt road. Shade by under trees. No facilities. Was greeted happily by a farm hand who moved a huge herd of cows along the lake in the morning. Swimming was good too.
Report Check-InNice lake with lots of birds. Also horses, sheep and cows grazing the area. Many options along the shore. At this point a bit away from road. Trees for shade near.
