Amazing experience. It was a completely free campsite. Very quite and friendly fellow campers around.

This is one of my favorite places to camp! I came here two years ago and it was full of trash. I picked up everything then and filled garbage bags full of trash and took them to town to dump them. Now, it is still clean (at least the site I'm at), which is awesome! Such a beautiful place to stay for free!

There are 11 campsites along this road.
Sites 1-8 are right off the road in a pullout style. Perfect for tent campers and vans. You could probably get a larger rig, but you'll be close to the road. These sites have paths that take you to the tent pads, and have a picnic table and fire ring.
Sites 9-11 are down a short road. All these sites are larger and would be suitable for larger rigs, or multiple people. Each site also has picnic table and fire ring.
At the beginning of this road is the pit toilet. This week it was clean and had toilet paper.
This area is heavily used, some folks decided to use the site next to us as day-use, lit a fire and left it, along with their trash. So we extinguished and cleaned up the site. If you see trash around, don't let that deter you from this area, just clean it up and use it. We felt very safe and enjoyed our time by the lake. We spent 5 days total and met some nice folks which adds to the enjoyment.

large spots near the pit toilet along with several addition spots along the road, but most spots are taken.

Great campsites along the lake. Large parking spot with tent pad, fire pit, and table below. Pit toilets nearby

Report Check-In

Several sites along the lake. Parked van at the top of a slope with nice tent pad and fire pit on the shore below. Occasional noise from highway, but overall very quiet. One or two bars of slow Verizon service.

There are 6 additional campsites if you continue past the 1st entrance (with pit toilet) on Pine Ridge Rd. These are well spaced apart, adjacent to the highway with a pull-off. All but one are for tents only requiring a short hike. Several are on the water. There is only the one pit toilet however. Just past the park is a lodge for turning around. Sites are spacious and improved.

As others have said this is a great park! Only 2 RV sites: 1 at lake level, large site but somewhat unlevel. 2nd site is straight in, very large and level. Elevated ~20' over the lake. Just one other tent set up below. Good T-Mobile signal!

Spot P2 ... beautiful camping spot along lake. Enough room for a few vehicles. Have a very short walk down to picnic table, tent site and fire pit. Can also sleep in vehicle at site if you have conversion vehicle.

Super nice area. We lucked out on a Saturday and got the only vacant site on the road, and there are several. The two sites nearest the lake were both taken but as we have a TT and truck the empty site was perfect; spacious and private, with some gaps in the trees to see the lake. Didn’t check out the pit toilet. Super nice table and fire ring. Two bars of Verizon. Could hear road noise in the distance but dead quiet at night. We loved it and didn’t want to leave!

Report Check-In

Three spots off the road (behind pit toilets) that work for van/RV/car camping), and about 5 more along the road that are meant for tenting (table & pad a short walk away from parking spot). All sites look across lake! Get there early - all sites taken by 6pm on a Wednesday. No garbage can or water, so pack in/out. Definitely 1-2 people moved in, but they were nice enough. 1 bar Verizon

Report Check-In

Great location right on the lake. As stated, there were pit toilets but no other amenities. Free.

Report Check-In

Great little spot, very quiet. Two spots here and another four or so spots down the road. Verizon service was good.

This site furthest down had terrific views of the lake and mountains. The site was appealing as it had ample room for three overland rigs.

Best fire pit I’ve used in a National Forest and we saw dear, heard fish splash and some otters greeted us in the cove Monday morning.
