Camping spot between cacti.
Leave Mex 1 at sign to Cancun. Cross the cattle barrier (narrow, not for RVs), drive 200 metres until you see track leaving the road to your right. Drive into the dessert around the vegetation and find yourself a nice spot away from the road.
We found this spot on our way to the nearby overlander place but didn't want to drive 3km on the gravel road for the same view. Very nice and quiet here.

packed dirt road, fine for our class C. no problem getting past gate. large, level spots. great spot.
Report Check-Infollowed the instructions in previous reviews. traveling by bike so easy to go through gaps in the vegetation and get off the track. very beautiful place to camp among the cacti
Report Check-InBack here again for one night on our return up north. Felt like we were alone in the world and loved it.
Report Check-InThis was an excellent stop. Would have stayed longer if we could, but will definitely come back again. Felt so quiet, safe and serene. The morning fog rolled in and the desert dew sweetened the air. Completely secluded and alone yet not far from the highway. No litter strewn about, just a couple neat piles of garbage. No spikey ground burs at our site either.
Report Check-InWe came here not expecting too much, but it is an excellent option for a turnoff to get off the road before dark. Yes there’s garbage dumps but you can’t be too picky when there doesn’t seem to be a lot of free options along here. We took a side road off easily 2x2 accessible. We were hidden from the highway and the main dirt road. Didn’t hear anyone come by on a Wednesday night. Happy with this spot.
Report Check-InPulled in here for an easy overnight. Pretty desert except too bad about all the trash. Quiet, easy to get to.
Report Check-InFull of trash and LOTS of tiny prickers on the ground.
We didn't stay and opted to drive 2 hours north up to Playa Ligui which we liked much better.
