Something not right?

Description

Parking lot at the casino. The lot is sloped but you can find level spots for RVs. I was here on the last day of the balloon festival. There were about 40 RVs parked here.

It's now $40/night. Still no hookups. If you park in the main parking lot, the security guys will come and contact you. They have a policy to contact everyone in the lot that's hanging around after 2AM. They were all cordial and friendly, but trying to get people to pay to stay in their RV area.

The RV area is just a converted parking lot. There are big spaces marked out, but they are right on top of the existing parking spaces that used to be there. The entire area is sloped pretty bad, so many rigs will have a hard time getting level here.

This location is close to I-25, so there is constant freeway noise.

$25/night, no hookups, RV parking is in the lot to the west of the parking structure. We opted to stay for free just down the road at Cracker Barrel instead.

Great, safe spot to sleep over night - it is $20 for campers to stay. I car camped here and talked to the security guy before hand and was told no overnight camping but he allowed me to stay just. They switched security guys at midnight and I was woken up at 2am and asked what I was doing by the new guy. They were super nice and just asked the property for permission if I could stay until 6/7am and then kept a close eye on my car which was so sweet! Basically, just ask if you can stay and they will probably be cool. Very safe place though!

Appears to still be closed since March 2020 due to covid. All driveways are blocked by police cars. Casino website says closed starting March 2020.

great location with great views, Sandia resort and casino allowed us to dry camp for 3 days for free, and then they ask us to pay $25 for the 4th. security never approached us but was present and the resort shuttle came by often. on the slanted lot there are great parallel spots along the golf course side with great views of the mountains. the best part for us was no semis! most casinos allow large trucks and semis but there were none here during our stay and it's a very large parking lot.

We parked right at the back of Lot area where they have supplies stored and it's level.

Wonderful views of the mountains!

Nice and easy free overnight in the parking lot at the casino, very close to everything on the perimeter of ABQ. The parking area is vast!

From the 556 turn into the Casino at the Rainbow Road entrance.
Take a right and another right and you’ll be in the right spot for RV’s (see photo) - it’s the farthest area from the casino and sits along the golf course. Beautiful views of the mountains and golf course here.

The lot is sloped and we didn’t find a level spot. We used a couple of leveling blocks and no problems. It is well lit at night and felt very safe. It was very peaceful And quiet aside from the occasional car on the road or a neighbor’s generator. Not much shade here so lots of sun for solar.

There were a few other RVs here. We didn’t read any info on past post or other apps about checking in/registering with the casino - so we did not and there was no problem. We never saw a security person and some of the casino shuttle drivers drove by and waved to us.

No hookups here, restrooms available at the casino. Picked up a bit of trash around so PLEASE do your part to pack yours out and leave it better than you found it,
so that these places will continue to be available to our community.

3 bars cell service for T Mobile and Cricket.

We stayed at Cabela’s lot a few nights and I wish we had come here instead, so much more quiet and gorgeous views!

Stayed October 9th, 10th, and 15th 2019.

On the 9th to support the casino for providing free parking we signed up for the players club (free $10 game play).
10th we were informed that they charge $45 to park in the lot during the balloon festival. (No signs or any indication). We went to the resort front desk and asked for 1 comp night for patronizing their business and they reluctantly obliged.
15th we check with some maintenance men that were working on the parking lot as we arrived, if the parking was free again and was told yes.

Always a very quite night. Casino is open 24/7 so bathrooms are always available. Free coffee and fountain drinks inside. A bit difficult to find a level parking spot but would definitely stay again.
