South Rest Area on the side of river. Four picnic tables and a very clean pit toilet. "Please limit your stay to 8 hours" sign. No tents or campfires. Very nice view of the mountains and the river. Easy access and hidden from the highway.
There is another Rest Area on the other side of the River next to the one already in iOverlander. I guess there was a bridge connecting both (dead ends on both Rest Areas). This one is signed if you come from the south (Dease Lake).
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Nice rest area about .5 mile off highway, near river, sign says to limit stay to 8 hours.
Report Check-InWe stayed 1 night, good place, nobody bothered us. We were alone the whole time.
No Cell signal. No highway noise. Great views of the river and mountains. Fishing is possible with some restrictions. Everything clean and well maintained.
Toilets available but no water. Picnic tables.
nice spot, only one other vehicle when we stayed. right by the river, clean pit toilet, fair amount of mozzies as expected but not unbearable. Boya lake to the north was completely packed out so this was a very enjoyable alternative.
Report Check-InVery well maintained, no garbage laying around and plowed out. The trickle of the river and the chirping of the sparrows soothes the ear.
