Description

Flower Nursery - Adonay law office . Quiet space not far from the border. The owner's name is Alo and he sometimes allows travelers to camp here and use the shower. They grow various plants for sale, so it is a little oasis with nice smells and vibes. Much nicer than camping at the nearby hotel. They also have a nice space in back for camping.

Arrived around 5 or 6pm, met Alo very nice guy. Asked the girl running the store next door where to go exactly and she helped me out. Perfect place to stay before crossing or after crossing the border. There are also pillars you can use a hammock on. Pupuseria down the street was also tasty. Like other comments mentioned, there is road noise so have earplugs. Thanks Alo!

Report Check-In

We (two cyclists) showed up late (just before 18h) at Adonay’s place and were welcomed to camp on the patio of his moms house next door (there is roadnoise, either bring earplugs or ask to camp further down on his land). We could use the garden hose to shower! There is a pupuseria close by (delicious!), as well as a tienda next door. In the morning we had fresh tortillas from the lady in front of the house for breakfast. Adonay is very kind and has a lot of knowledge about the area! Thank you for letting us stay :)

Perfect stop before crossing the border. Adonay is such a kind person with a touching story as to why he helps travelers. And he truly wants to help. All he asks for in return is to tell others so he can help more people. He will make copies for you and recommend which restaurant has the best food. You can park out front by his moms house or down by the soccer field where there is more shade

Super nice. ADONAY is also an artist. Ask about his murals and other work. Had a wonderful chat with him.

Super friendly Adonay!! He helped us in a rainy night and let us camp under the roof with water available from the hoose!! He also invite us some fresh lemonade from their own trees and delicious homemade tamales with the special ZP sauce, simply delicious! We shared nice chat and he explained us about the country! THANKS

we passed the border after 6pm so initially planned to stay at the Puma station, Adonay was refilling his car and asked us if we needed a safe place to stay with our van so we end up talking together in the restaurant then stayed at his place, there is 1 or 2 spot and water access.
that was a chance to meet Adonay at the gas station!
very welcoming people

Adonay is such a wonderful guy. So kind and welcoming, and very generous. He doesn't charge for the place but is happy to host overlanders and has been doing so for quite a while. He has a hose that he let's folks use (including the local vendor outside). He's had a very interesting life and his passions are multi fold. He plants trees in the area, he works with local kids, he's a criminal lawyer.

Super nice and friendly family! We arrived around noon and no one was home but there was a nice lady out front that told us to come on in and park. The lady said the man was at work but the wife worked right next door in the grocery store so we walked over to the store and the women was very nice and told us she could come over and give us power to use and that the husband would be home later. We spent one night here getting ready to cross the border to Honduras. Once the husband got home he allowed us to come inside and use the bathroom and shower which was really nice. The family wouldn’t take any money after several offers but they did take time to talk and hangout. They are really friendly and I would definitely recommend for a night!

Arrived here at 1pm and nobody was home. Went to the tienda next door and the lady there phoned Adonay for us. He speaks perfect English and told us we could park in his yard and “feel at home”, use the hose for water, etc. He arrived later that night.

We arrived and it was almost 40 degrees, so that water hose saved the day! Really nice guy, let us use the restroom as well. We only got to chat for a bit, since he was busy with his family, but the hospitality is super appreciated.. thank you! Easy start for the border crossing the next day.

There are some sweet dogs and puppies that live on the property. Coco wanted to pkay with our dog all day and night. Just make sure you don’t leave your sandals outside 😉

good place for the night before or after the boarder. Wir haben in der Tienda neben an nachgefragt und die Frau hat Adonay angerufen. A great spot for bike tourers. We camped under the porch, we were given an outlet for power and a hose to shower ourselves off and filter water from. We arrived very early in the day (we’ve been riding from sunrise because of the heat), and that was no problem. Gas station and tienda not far if you need simple supplies. No charge, a warm welcome. Perfect.

We stayed here for one night. No one was around when we got there but a couple buildings to the left is a little store and Adonay’s wife was working there. They let use water and were generally very kind. The street is loud even at night though. But a good spot either before or after the border.

We shared good stories and had a nice time there.

Great spot for us on our cycle trip! we stopped before crossing to Honduras and the brothers were very hospitable and friendly. They let us camp at the front of their mother's house, felt secure. Petrol station nearby has 2x desayuno for $6! And the tortilla lady out front does make lovely tortillas!

I asked at the shop and the manager texted Adonay, when he arrived he told me I could camp under the roof at the entrance of a unused home, light and acces to water :) shower in the warehouse next to the shop. He told me I could stay as long as I wanted 🥱 friendly and safe spot right after the border

They still exist. The most humble people, they just want to help. They saw us searching and waved. Alo was a bit strange at first, but he and his brother Adonay have been doing this for over 10 years. They made us copies and printed something out. They invited us to dinner and asked us to tell other travelers that they could come at any time. Ask about Alo and Adonay, everyone knows them there. They have a big shady spot next to the street and some more in the backyard.
