Description

First-come first-serve. One of the nicest FREE dry campsites you'll find anywhere. There are two water potable water faucets on the grounds, close to the groundskeeper buildings in the centre. There are 3 pit toilets, 2 near the boat ramp and one by the entrance/upper camp area.

Not such a secret anymore! Arrived at 4 on a weeknight and, because some shelters were being repainted, I got the last one available. Beautiful sunset lake view. Awoke at 8 to mowing. Grateful the place is maintained!

Small "free" campground on Thomas Hill Reservoir. There are 10 sites with a covered picnic table, gravel pull in driveway and the regulation metal fire ring.

When I arrived there were only four sites left to choose from with all on the lake side. Most sites are full sun. camping is only allowed in designated spaces with signage pertaining to no camping in other areas of this location. this is the first come first serve camping area. there are vault toilets near the boat ramp and at the beginning of the camp area. Sites one and two seem to have some shade as well as the shelter. Shoreline sites are all sloping toward the water. Ideal tent sites would be the ones on the left coming in the first couple. Trailer, RV, and campers will all fit well in these locations.

Most likely dog friendly if leashed and clean up is done. No doggie bags. No signs indicating they aren't welcome.

I have five bars with Verizon.

2nd time at this gem, was here last fall and loved it so much we made a point of stopping here again as we passed thru Missouri.

This is our favourite free campground that we have experienced in Missouri. No showers or electric, however, the grounds are well kept, its quiet and has an awsome lake. Upper loop is fire ring only. Lower loop hade Picnic table/shelter and fire ring at each site. First come-first serve. Garbage bins located near boat launch parking.

2 water faucets near the maintenance buildings. Boat ramp and popular fishing spot. 3 pit toilets.
