Latest Check-Ins

We came here just to enjoy a “quiet” lunch. Tour bus after tour bus after tour bus showed up. Imagine floods of people in this little parking lot.🤣 Turns out this lighthouse is VERY popular. It’s really gorgeous though & has a great history! Still recommend the stop!

I live in the town and the night watch of the police toss out campers every night. Most move to the Park and Ride at the York exit off the Maine Turnpike (10min away) or Kittery Trading Post. (20min away).

Report Check-In

We stayed the night at the Kittery Trading post (there were other vans and campers parked there & it was dark) and came here in the morning for the sunrise. Absolutely beautiful spot. You can drive right right up to the waters edge and pop the trunk.

Report Check-In

We took the risk to sleep here. Unfortunately at 1:15am the police knocked on our door and told us no overnight parking. They said Peking isn’t allowed in this lot or along the beach from 1-4am. About 20 minutes down the road is the Kittery Trading Post which is where we moved to and didn’t have any problems there!

Stayed last night under the full moon and it was pleasant and relaxing. At 2:00 am a police car came by but did not bother us. We had our lights off and our van was dark. In the morning it was nice to see the sun over the water. Many bikers, fishermen and photographers show up early morning.

Report Check-In

Police showed up around 2:30 am to kick me and a Promaster van out. They said there was no overnight parking allowed here. Up until then the sounds, views, and spot was amazing. I would say not worth the risk because it is a very small town so I had to drive 30 mins to the nearest service area to sleep for the rest of the night.

Report Check-In

I arrived around 1am on the 13th. It was amazing to watch the sun rise right on the water. I didn't have any problems, possibly because I got there so late

Report Check-In

As described, beautiful location with a lot of noise, all night long. I guess that's what we get for coming on a Saturday night, though (ha). Beautiful sunset and sunrise made it totally worth it. Unique place to spend a night. One other van.

Report Check-In

Great location. Busy during day but quiet at night. Respect the local expectations and keep this place going.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night. Was worried I’d be kicked out because of a previous review. I backed in and parked closer to the restaurant. Had dinner and ice cream there and it was delicious. The fog was so heavy- even if police came by they might not even see me. No knocks, totally fine, along with another class B can up closer to the lighthouse. Great place to stay!

Report Check-In

Amazing views. sunrise and sunset. Spent the night with 3 other vans. Busy with some teens lingering until ~10PM. Quiet night. Bathroom clean and available during the day.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place once the throngs of weekend visitors left. Camped here til 2 am and another van and truck also parked overnight. Cop came up and made us all leave, said the area was no overnight parking by town ordinance so that’s why there were no signs. Very frustrating as sunrise woulda been fantastic.

Report Check-In

Amazing spot! Stayed one night had no problems

Report Check-In

You take your chances if parking overnight here. Spent two nights here and first night peaceful. Second night got door knocked by police and was told even though there are no signs restricting parking overnight, Worth the risk as quite a beautiful spot to stay

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. But a lot of tourists didn’t quiet down until 10 then started showing up at sunrise! Lol! Verizon signal has 2 bars but goes in and out. Bugs everywhere at least at night. Screen door suggested if you want to open up for fresh air

Report Check-In

Great place to camp then wake up for some coffee at sunrise! Parked in the closest spot to the light house. People came and went and were noisy until about 2:00 am. If you’re a light sleeper might be good to find a spot away fromthe light house

Report Check-In

Great spot! No issues for the night. Cool place to stop even if you aren’t staying the night!

Report Check-In

It's pretty here and the lighthouse is cool to see. It was quite busy at night, people coming in and out until 1am it's a small parking lot so you will get headlights. If it is a weekend and you want to get some sleep. I wouldn't pick this place unless you are a heavy sleeper or your vehicle muffles a lot of sound. There is WiFi from the visitor center though.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot to boondock! The scenery doesn't get better than this. Spent a very peaceful night, falling asleep to the sounds of the surf.

Report Check-In

Spent a night here with no problem. It was amazing to wake up to. A few cars came by throughout the night but everyone was courteous and quiet. Tour buses came in around 8am. Overall an amazing site and experience.

Report Check-In

Parking area for nubble light. Restrooms closed overnight but open in the morning. I didn’t personally sleep here but met others who parked overnight no problem.
