Description

Great old finca which now doubles as an "adventure" park and camping area. Easy to find and no issues with our truck camper. Nice flat grassy camping area with a couple of cabañas for rent. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Paid $100/person for the night and got hot showers, wifi (which we didn't use) and dumped our tanks. Dog friendly at no extra charge. Everything was spotless and well maintained. They even arranged a taxi to take us to a small craft brewing about 5 miles
away for dinner and music and bring us back late at night so we didn't have to move the camper. Highly recommended!

I visited on 20/2/22 based on the reviews here. They increased the price to $200/person/night to camp at the start of February, according to the guy I spoke with (I think his name was Eduardo).

I offered $100 for the night because i've never paid more than that to camp in Mexico and I'd been paying $150/night for a private room in a hostal in Xalapa (only 15 minutes away)...the manager rejected my offer. Apparently $100 pesos isnt better than nothing... strangely inflexible behaviour given there were no other guests and we're talking about putting up a tent, nada mas. On principle, I returned to Xalapa, as I prefer to have a proper bed for 50 pesos less and give my money to kinder/ less greedy people...

The property itself was nice enough and there's a pretty little waterfall about 5 minutes drive way that's worth a visit.

Truly one of our best campground experiences ever, in eight years of full-time travel. The amenities were covered: bathrooms, sinks for hand-washing and dishwashing, lighting fast WiFi by U.S. standards, hot showers (ask them to turn on boiler beforehand), and a garrafon of drinking water with dispenser. Then there were all the extras, like a trampoline with walls, two play structures, a bag of toys, and covered picnic tables right next to our parking area. The staff members were truly the best. All were helpful and gracious, taking time to play soccer with our son or take away our trash. The weather in this area is tough, but if you’re blessed enough to hit some sunshine days like we did, then it’s hard to find a more beautiful place. The horses came to graze right next to us every day and we could smell the blossoms from the (olive?) trees. We caught taxis to both Coatepec (Coffee Capital of Mexico) and Xalapa. Don’t miss the Museo de Antropología in Xalapa, which is considered one of the best in Mexico. We spent a couple of hours engrossed in all of the artifacts. An English audio tour is available.

Nice place, open again! They charge us 320p for 2 in a campervan, they gave us a radio to speak with the guard. We had a hot shower, and they provide Wood for the fire. We woke up surrounded by horses. Enjoy !
