Overlooking the river and mountains. 1 spot on the edge, 1 spot further back closer to the roads in the trees, 1 spot 100 meter west right off the road.

Warning: we attempted to get to this spot late April, snow melt makes last 1 km of the road, right turn before the rover, inaccesible for any vehicle. Had to stay on the flat spot right after public land sign. Avoid during early spring.
Report Check-Inone of the best spot we went ! stayed 5nights there is a couple of spot everywhere on the side of the road .. couple of van, amazing views, fire pit... saw some cows and bambie. the road is vary rough but we maneged to do it with an 96 ramvan.. slowly but surely
Report Check-InBeautiful view of the mountains to the west.
just wish I could hear more birds instead of dirt bikes and atvs lol
Hour and change from Calgary this is a great spot for free camping with some good views of the river and start of the Rockies. Some camp sites right after a bridge that are easy to get to and provide good shelter from the wind. You can continue up the hill where the road gets quite rough but you can get there with a car if you really want to. 4x4 would be safer. I pulled my teardrop camper up to a nice spot and had a nice night with a fire. It was great. Can get very windy. If you continue down the road you can get to the dry river valley and even onto lake minnewanka if you have a real 4x4 rig. Overall nice free spot
Report Check-InAmazing views looking out over the river and mountains, a few good spots with fire pits available in clearings on the left. Road in is very rough but go slow and it's not too bad, we got up it in a minivan. Cell service and barely any mosquitos!
Report Check-InBeautiful location overlooking the mountains! Quite a rocky road but we made it in our van. We woke up to a stunning Sunrise. There are multiple spot along this public land.
