Description
Good spot with a great view over the lake where you can go fishing. Most sites have their own private kitchen, ablution and carport. Free wifi at the bar. Place is mainly visited by local South Africans. Price for the luxury site with private ablution was 200 Rand per night for 2 persons and a car including electricity.

Arrived sunday after lunch and the reception was closed. Looked at the place, the previous comments herr on ioverlander and the website. Looks like they don’t have a single rate and I didn’t feel like to have the discussion on a monday morning after I stayed already to pay 450 rand weekend rate per site.
Left and went 4 km down the road to a family run business with only 3 campsites (also at the dam) - so much more private, for 150 per night (person) - which was just the perfect decision ! I would absolutely recommend Bulshoekfarm down the road.

Slow WiFi. No bar but a little shop with the basics.
Lady at the reception is not very friendly and welcoming. Close to the road and lot of big trailers. Not a good place to stay when you are arriving from Namibia. Contrast is to big. We paid 400ZAR for 2 adults. Way to expensive for what you get. Sites are very close to each other.
Report Check-InUnfriendly lady at the reception, I arrived in the late afternoon with my bicycle. As it was weekend they charged 400 for a campsite. I told her I couldnt afford it and if I can just pitch my tent beside the receptionhouse for less money, as I would need to cycle to Clanwilliam then (it was already getting dark).
She refused
Arrived here by bicycle. Nice abolutions and friendly owner. I only paid 120 Rand pppn. The swim in the lake after a long ride was just the best and during the night I had 3 purring cats around my tent 😻... Felt very safe and protected.

Rolling green lawns and beautiful lake. Private or communal ablutions. Close proximity to the freeway but did not disturb us. R250/night for two people. Would definitely recommend on the way up to Namibia or down to Cape Town.

Report Check-InAs previously described, lush green site close to river frequented mainly by South African families. Chalets tent and caravan pitches on grass with fairly decent shade. Camping pitch with shared ablutions, braai, electricity, water and light R360 for 2 and a UK registered vehicle (if that makes a difference). Site very cozy with neighbours (maybe 8 metres across). Free decent speed wifi at bar (a fair walk from campsite).
