Pretty nice free dispersed camping with great views of the lake. This is a big wide open area with tons of room for many rigs, though many sections are extremely muddy after the recent rain and we watched several rigs get stuck (one had to call a tow truck). It's not regular mud -- it's lakebed made up of clay and silt, so it's a really nasty, sticky, tiresucking mud. Be sure to stay on dry/high/grassy ground. Verizon service comes and goes; Starlink works great. There are two pit toilets close to the road; if you park closer to the lake it's a bit of a walk but hey, better than nothing. Bald eagles like to frequent the area :) Stay limit is 5 days during the summer until September 1st (I forget when the summer "officially" begins), and is 16 days after Sept. 1st.

Absolutely STUNNING campground. Very big and spacious with many, many private spots and other spots to just pull off and park. Very muddy in spots, so just make sure you are paying attention. Toilets at the entrance, but no other amenities. 5 day maximum stay. Such easy access to the resevoir and made for an absolutely wonderful stay. Starlink worked great and randomly had Tmobile 5G from time to time.

The reservoir is dry but the river is still flowing and it's still a beautiful place to spend a few days. There are some wooded spots closer to the highway, but it is mostly wide open with beautiful views. There were 5 or so campers each night for the 4 nights I was there, all well spaced out & respectful. Weekend was busier with day use, mainly ATVs. You can hear the highway but not terrible. I will definitely return if in the area. Good service on TMobile & Verizon.

Water is so low you can drive all the way on the dry lake bed and set up camp. Full sun.

Great place, plenty of space. Pit Toilets near entrance. We parked near the water so about 200 yards to toilet.

As described - free camping all along the beach even! Bathrooms, little cell signal. Would stay again!

Beautiful place right by the lake that you can drive right up to. There are a few different entrances you will find, but was perfect for a pit stop with a view!

Huge place, a legit campground, only that’s for free! I saw bathrooms but didn’t use them. 5 days max stay
