Description

This is a house across the street from. the El Chepe train station in El Fuerte. It is owned by an elderly couple and they have a fenced in large back area where you can park/camp and leave your vehicle overnight while you take the train through Copper Canyon. we were charged 400 pesos for four nights, two of which we hooked up to power. there was a hose there too so I expect you could get water if needed. no Wi-Fi

This is not an "official" campground. Someones back yard that is not totally level. Extremely convenient for taking the train to Copper Canyon. Paid 100 pesos per night. We left our 32 foot motorhome and tow car there for 10 days while we took the train to Creel and Copper Canyon. It was very secure. When we got back, the gate to the parking area was chained and padlocked. We did not use the bathroom or shower, but they were very clean. Water is available from a hose and although we didn't use it, electricity was offered. They are supper nice and accomodating, my wife says they are adorable and generous. They even gave us a small decanter of Holy Water to protect us on our journey. A rig larger than ours may have difficulty. there is a tight left turn and trees going in.

Camped here for 3 nights and parked our camper for 7 days while we discovered Creel&Divisadero/ Copper Canyon; perfect location to park your rig in a fenced property; we paid 1000Pesos for 10 days to the very friendly and helpful owners; you can use their outside restrooms with flush toilet and hot showers- very simple but great to have this opportunity! We felt very safe and welcome!

a good place safe to park your vehicle. no need for taxi just cross street to take Chepe train. they have toilet and somekind of shower.

Just a parking lot behind a little shop. I think 500 Pesos for 3 days is too much.

We parked our campervan here for a couple of days when taking the Chepe train to Creel in the Copper Canyon. The family was most helpful and we really had a safe feeling, leaving our van here. We paid 100 pesos per night. We did not need a hookup. When getting back around 6 PM the older woman gave us a hug and we got some bananas and apples. Real hospitality against a rock-bottom price.

Nice family, speaks clear Spanish (good for those learning and practicing). I'm on moto and they encouraged me to bring it into their actual back yard, not just their back lot, so doubly safe from the road.

They have a shower!!! As of this moment the on-demand hot water is broken, but it's 38C outside so the 'cold' water isn't cold and quite comfortable on this hot day.

As described, a lovely family who rents out their backyard to people visiting the copper canyon. Left the van there for 5 nights - no problems.

Elderly, lovely couple with their daughter and son who provide safe parking lot while doing the train trip to Creel.
We paid 100 Pesos / night. Make sure you negotiate if electricity is included or not! Don’t park under the big tree (yeah, shade is a nice thing) but when we git back our roof was COMPLETELY covered with bird poo which was almost impossible to get ride off again!

Esperanza (85) and Benjamín (90 years old) are really nice. They also run a tiny little abarrotes where you get ice cold beers and sodas. The courtyard is large enough for pretty good privacy. Stayed there 2 nights and parked another 5.

We stayed 4 nights for 200m$ in total. For 2 nights we left the van to go to Creel and Divisadero. Very nice people owning that parking lot. On the evening, we heard music from the few houses around and that creates a nice ambiance.

M$100 per night to either camp or leave your vehicle while taking El Chepe (so we paid M$400 for four nights mixture of camping and vehicle storage). Boasts security. Very friendly owners. Allowed us to use their toilet which flushing with a bucket of water. Directly opposite the train station so perfect for an early morning train.
