As described. But beware that they seem to not have enough solar power and batteries as the generators are switched on at night. Ruth switched them off after we asked her to but the next day it was the same again. She apologised and switched them off again.
Showers were a little hard to control, either hot or cold, but apparently they are waiting for someone from Lusaka to correct that.
8 dollars pppn.
Beautiful view and lovely, secluded small campsite. Clean ablutions. A huge herd of ellies was around when we checked in, hippos cross at night. Still 8$/175K pppn. GPS coordinates were wrong here, just follow the sign from the main road. Lovely bar & cute cats.
Report Check-InOnly 8$ppn,very welcome stuff, Ruth is very friendly and helpful. The camp is about 4 km from the main road. several low trees for big rigs, but you can manage, location for mapsme 15°52′26.98″S 29°04′21.48″E Very bad MTN communication.
Report Check-InCamping spot right next to Zambezi River. Few camping spots available, power via solar and a restaurant for having something to eat. Tented camping, chalets and tented cottage. Very quite and peaceful.
Report Check-InNice campsite at the banks of the Zambezi. Ablutions have hot and cold water and are clean. Cold beer at the bar and nice sofa to sit on. Very friendly and helpfull staff. We did a bushwalk and a 2 day canoe trip with guide Brown. We sleep on an island in the Zambezi. Brown has a lot of knowledge and we never felt unsafe with him.
Report Check-InWe intended to stay for one night, had no reservation and stayed finally for three nights :-) The place is absolutely stunning and we had the whole campground for us alone! The view over the river is breathtaking and the staff very helpful and friendly. Ruth is a wonderful host and takes care of everything you need. We did an early morning boat cruise and a bush walk with the resident guide Brown, who is very knowledgeable.
Clean and very nice ablution and dishwashing spot. the bar is nice decorated and relaxing on a sofa during the heat of the day was cool.
We can def recommend this place!
Camping: USD 12 pppn
Boat cruise: USD 120 for the Boat (the more people, the less you pay pp)
Bush walk: USD 25 pp
Beautiful and well run place right on the shore of the Zambezi, everything clean and tidy. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. There are fireplaces und you can get firewood. They organize gamedrives into the lower Zambezi NP.
Camping is $12 pppn, also tented accomodation available. For us this is the best campsite we visited in Zambia.
Camping ground on the banks of the Zambezi River. Hot showers and cold beers
Report Check-InAmazing Campsite right on the edge of the Zaambezi River. Set in the Game management area near Lower Zambezi National Park. Good wildlife. Great view of the river and the magnificent escarpment rises up behind ... The scenery is stunning.
Facilities were very good, unique male and female bathrooms with hot showers under the stars. Great bar, restaurant and a cooling plunge pool to relax in with a cold beer or glass of wine. Activities such as fishing, boat cruises and game drives in the national park are available.
Definitely the best campsite in the Lower Zambezi.
