Description

*Reported closed for the season early April
Updated price: 2400pp in high season
Very nice big campground on the lake -- two sides are separated by a river and there is an upper level in the trees and a lower level by the lake at each side. Each campsite has a concrete fireplace and a picnic table. Hot, clean showers available 24 hours per day. Might be tight through the trees in some places with big rigs, but there are sites here that are more accessible.

We stayed one night 2p and motorhome and paid ARS 4,800. No electricity but tables at most sites. Possibility to stay next to the lake. Beautiful scenery and views from all sites. Toilets and Hot showers in sheds. Haven't used showers in morning as was too cold. On a sunny day a must stay.

Price is now 2400pp (high season). The spots are very very nice: right at the lakefront with a beautiful view. Each spot has its own table and fire pit. Basic facilities with semi-warm showers. No WiFi, no cell service.

The place so great, very big area with trees and privacy, the view to the lake and the beach are awesome. showers with very hot water. no pets allowed (but they let me stay with my dog only because they found out late, I was alone and drinking a beer, to dangerous for driving in a MH). price $1200 pp. no extra for the vehicle.

Report Check-In

Absolutely stunning! Lots of wind, but still doable with a tent. 1200 ARS pp (currently ~4USD blue dollar). Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed when people are fishing, which was just a couple guys early morning and late evening while we were there. Very quiet and peaceful. Hot showers and an outdoor sink to do dishes.

Beautiful campground on the water with hot showers and toilets. Across the road are two trailheads - one to the cataract cascada that is only 1 km one way and beautiful, and the other is a longer trail - both are nice. 1200 ars per person and no extra charge for truck camper. 11 am check out. Friendly host.

With a big rig this is your place. Be careful when driving down to the lakeshore, but there you will find some amazing sites. No electricity down there, no cellphone signal. Only the lake, a creek and a beautiful night sky. The walk up to the cataracts is nice too (1 km).

Report Check-In

One of the most beautiful places we have stayed. A bit pricy though but def worth it. We paid 450 pp. Good hot showers and clean toilets. No plugs though.

Report Check-In

Really nice campground with an amazing view over the lake and the surrounding mountains! There's plenty of space for tents, vans, big rigs...and each site has its own fire pit and table.
Hot showers available on request off season, simple but very clean.
Horses, cows and cute puppies around.
We stayed there one night with our cat and that was way better than the packed and pricey campgrounds in Villa La Angostura.
300 AR pp, no extra charge for the van or the pet.
Highly recommended if you want to step away from the Ruta de los Lagos crowd.

This place is just amazing! One of our highlights of South America! Unbelievable beautiful view and cristal clear water! Did SUP.

New price: 300 AR pp
The campig is very nice! The view from the lake is lovely
Only 4 bathrooms for like a thousand people, but they keep them extremely clean (all the time somebody cleaning)
Showers warm
Small shop with basics open until midnight

The place is so big that you can find privacy, even in crowded high season..
Our recommendation: continue the inside road almost until the end of the camping, and find yourself a nice and private space with amazing view. :)

nice camping with places at the shore or in the wood. we stood directly by the shore. it was cold and rainy, so we did not sit outside. Paid 200pP

200 pp per night 100 for kids hut we agree it's worth it here fir good showers and million dollar views. the good spots are down a switch back road to the lakeside near this marker. even a big rig could make it down. it was quiet for Ys just before Xmas but he said Jan and Feb were his real season. the spots further west and accross the river seemed nice too but we prefered this side. some strange woman in the other side git a bit upity with Ys about my dog despite several dogs living here. she asked if I had vaccines and the tried to tell me I shouldn't play fetch with stick in the river since they might damage the boat propellers. I smiled and largely ignored here given the impact if one small stick in a lake often full of deadfall and with a swift Sund blowing all abandoned sticks to shore...

Very large campsite right next to the Lake and extremely beautiful. walking distance to a gorgeous waterfall and the beginning of a 2-day Trek to Villa Angastora.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campingground! View over the lake is epic. Hot water, clean bathrooms, picnic table and fire pit at the site, nice staff. There were almost no others when we were there.

Report Check-In

200pp in high season. very nice hot showers. great spot on the late to chill for a few days. near the road but not much traffic so it's ok. they run fishing charter boats from here as well 1500pesos for the whole boat for 3 hrs.

Report Check-In

Returned after January 1st and prices had gone up to 200pp. Much more crowded as well. Still a beautiful option and 200+pp seems to be the norm in this area during high season.

Report Check-In

Now 150pp but worth it. Amazing views of the lake and plenty of well maintained spots to chose from. Some are down by the lake and some overlooking it from above. Very friendly staff. Fishing tours available at shack on lower section of campground. Hot showers. Dishwashing sinks. Recommended.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. Amazing view of the lake and mountains — there are 2 sections, the one further east is prettier and the western half is geared towards fishing tours. Owner is very nice and shared some of his asado with us. 150 pesos per person, hot showers, dish washing and laundry area, lots of free wood for fires.

Report Check-In

Even though the price has gone up to ARP 120 for adults (60 for kids) it's well worth the money! The campground is very well kept (toilets, hot showers, no rubbish at all, sprinklers against the dust, etc.) and the people who run it are extremely friendly and helpful. The sites down by the lake are just gorgeous – choose yourself between shady or sunny sites. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Really nice, and huge with all sorts of sites big and small. Grassy and woody up above well protected from wind and sandy and grassy lakefront sites below, a bit colder but amazing views. A rest stop became two nights stay. 80p per person no charge for vehicle. Hot water no wifi.

Report Check-In

We camped here looking for hot showers. Nice big campground on the lake -- two sides are separated by a river. Each campsite has a concrete fire place and a picnic table. Hot showers available 24 hours per day. Might be tight through the trees in some places with big rigs, but there are sites here that are more accessible. We paid 80 pesos per adult and 40 pesos for our 6 year old son to camp in our van (so 200p total for us).
