Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I’ve been in the area for a week now and this one is my favorite. Directly on the lake.
No mosquito infestation at night which was surprising.
I stayed here during the week and all but one lake view site was taken so it probably fills up quick.

Dirty pit toilets. But they are pit toilets and free camping so low expectations.

Report Check-InGreat site. Beautiful views. If you're on two wheels as I was, the ride in is gorgeous.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot with sites providing perfect views of the lake. 4 or 5 of the sites are ok for big rigs. I have a 36’ travel trailer and my site was ideal. Verizon service is great. StarLink is great. Trash in/trash out, but there is a truck that comes in once a week contracted by the army corp of engineers to do some maintenance/cleanup. I saw him drive in and out doing nothing. I’m told he will take your bagged trash if you catch him.
Report Check-InSuper pretty!! I also love how quiet it has been. Will be coming back :)
Report Check-InSeveral free spots right on the water facing just the perfect way for sunrise.
No service
Trash left at the sites, unfortunately.
Picnic tables and fire pits available
The dirt road is accessible and suddenly is paved again after about 2 miles.
Report Check-Inpretty packed for the off season. at least 5 people here other than myself. rock hounding is fun here. spaces are not flat. would not stay here again. other campers were noisy all night and rude. I had people continuously walking through my campsite for no reason and I ended up having to move.
Report Check-InOne of the best FREE campsites I've been to. Long gravel road in, but worth it for the perfect campsites. Right on the lake, with beautiful views. Not good for big rigs, though. Bathrooms were gross, and obviously not maintained. Bring TP and Lysol wipes and you'll be fine. At least 15 designated sites with tables and fire rings. Another area with more sites about half a mile before this spot. Also area to park by boat launch.
Great spot. 8/10 for the bathrooms being gross.
Report Check-InWow, what a find. This place is a solid free established campground right on a lake. The site we had was on a small peninsula all by itself with fantastic views and easy lake access. We stayed a week. Great place to chill out for a bit. First left as you pass the sign has about 4 camping spot. There are bathrooms here. Not all spots are level, but all have table and grill. Access to the water is doable, but not great. Second left coming in is the boat ramp. Also a place for one vehicle to camp all by itself. The end of the road is the main area. Probably about 10 spots of varying levelness and water access. Also bathrooms here. Good AT&T service.
Report Check-InThis has 2 rec areas, the bigger one is at the location set here & the smaller one is the second left after the sign when you’re entering. 2 pit toilets. Very busy on a Thursday night in September - people coming and going even at 2am. Not sure why, maybe Fishing?
Report Check-InFree campground. Primitive camping. toilet , picnic table , grill.
No utilities. Great area lake access with boat ramp close by.
