Something not right?

Description

Camped just over the hill from the large lagoon, looking for some shelter from the wind. The black rocks were radiating some warmth and the place seems hidden from the road. Beautiful little lagoon with flamingos. Freezing at night. There are quite a few trenches in the ground. Be careful driving down. Wouldn't recommend the drive in the dark.

Great spot, was really windy most of the afternoon but we had a calm night and morning.

Nice little spot away from all the jeeps. It was fun watching all the flamingos wake up and take flight the next morning. Some wind protection, depending on where it's blowing from. We still have a pretty wild night, thanks to the large gusts.

We saw the fox! Honestly the hidden lake is a little nicer for privacy than the peninsula camp spot.

Same as everyone said - great spot! Wake up early to see the flamingos huddled together in the frozen lake! As the sun comes up it melts the ice and releases their feet so they can move. Crazy!

Very nice lagoon with flamingos. Dropped down to minus 10 C in the night. Be aware of the really big fox who is living here. He wasn't afraid of us. So better back up when going to the toilet at night.

Great spot with view of the lake and flamingos. Rocks offered some protection from the wind, which died down around 9 pm. Temperatures below freezing. Lovely spot!
