Something not right?

Description

This is by far the best wild camping spot we have found in this area. Located at the end of a logging trail over looking tropic reservoir, valleys and mountains. Only accessible by small rigs due to narrow track, low hanging trees and tight turns (towards the end). Firepit on sight and plenty of wood. 2 bars TMobile. This spot is high and exposed. Windy days may be too much and lighting storms too risky. Even if you don't want to camp here, come for the view!!!
Although the spot at the end of the track would not accommodate big rigs as we mentioned. We just notice a few possible pitches within 50 meters before the end of the track would be fine for bigger rigs and tents. Enjoy!

This place was stunning!!! Just as described, the views all around are epic! We enjoyed one night here on our way to Zion national park. But we could have stayed longer for sure. This was one of the best places we have overlanded at.

We had 3 bars of 5G with ATT, weather was nice but we were able to make a fire with some left over wood and some we found around.

You definitely need 4WD and high clearance to get here. But so worth it !

tried to get up here in my subaru impreza and it was impassable. had to turn around about 3/4 of the way there. could’ve just been the route i took - but i called it quits after turning onto fr 185. should’ve backed out on fr 088. highly recommend 4x4!

Very nice view, but didn’t stay because of the wind. There was a tree on the road as well. We made it on 2WD but wouldn’t do it again.

There’s a few spots available but not for large vehicles. 2 bars of Visible LTE.

As good as the previous descriptions! Plenty of room for our truck camper and second car. Lots is spots on the way here too just without the view. 2-3 bars AT&T LTE too.

As good as the previous descriptions! Plenty of space at the end of the road for our truck camper and second car. Lots of spots on the way too, just without the impressive view.

What a find! This place should almost be kept secret. A nice vantage point above the valley and reservoir. Probably gets windy but I had a perfect stay with beautiful weather an no wind. If doing multiple days in Bryce, this would be an ideal site.

Amazing place to stay with an amazing view! It can be windy, because it is on top of a hill. Big fire pit. Great for a small car.

looks to be amazing views. Very isolated here in November with nobody around. small space but I wouldn't recommend a big setup. possible with 2WD but 4WD recommended. 4G LTE Verizon signal with 2 bars.

Report Check-In

INACCESSIBLE via East Fork Rd. A fallen tree blocked the last .2 miles of the road to this site, via East Fork Rd and smaller forest service roads. The last few miles of road were extremely rough - we barely made it up and back out (had to turn around bc of the tree across the road) in our 4wd van without high clearance, and would never attempt it again. Getting out was even worse. Strongly discourage driving these forest roads without 4x4.

UPDATE - although the spot at the end of the track would not accommodate big rigs as we mentioned. We just notice a few possible pitches within 50 meters before the end of the track would be fine for bigger rigs and tents. Enjoy!
