Mexico
A typical RV park full of snowbirds. When we pulled in there was an open spot on the water where we could pitch our tents. The crowd was friendly, inviting and partied late into the night. There is really great fishing if you can talk one of the old guys into taking you out on a boat.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I pulled in late last night, 250 pesos per night. I woke up to a beautiful sunrise in a clean, typical park on the bay. Old but clean restrooms and showers, garbage disposal, moderate wifi, moderate AT&T r cell service. I'm only staying here one night but could see staying longer. I'll keep this spot in mind for future travels!
Report Check-InPulled in after dark last night and woke up to a beautiful sunrise. 250 pesos for moderate internet, good ATT r cell service, cans for my garbage, clean showers and restrooms. lm only staying one night but I would be comfortable staying more.
Report Check-InHard to find but worth the struggle. 300 pesos for near the beach parking. Friendly people, clean, safe. Entrance after the Oxxo from the south, before from the north
Report Check-InSuper easy access. Day after Christmas and the place was virtually empty. Pretty place with lots of trees.
Report Check-InWe stayed here 6 years ago, unfortunately the great little restaurant is no longer operating on the premises. Also there is no internet. Nice level spot, great view, water available and hot showers. Also a Dani dump. Ok stop for a night or two. 300 pesos for a night.
Report Check-Inwas there last night. stopped to figure out the next step due to the hurricane. water front spots are not flat so be warned if you are tenting. We got a decent spot though. 250p for the night. didn't try the internet. flush toilets and showers. too hot to try the hot so no idea if that worked but thankfully the cold did. maybe half a dozen snowbirds and all super friendly. one gave us some smoked fish he had caught. water is murkey as it's a lagoon . Bit buggy. it's a place you stop on the way to somewhere else. not a second nighter that's for sure. pull in and set up and the camp host will stop by around 8pm and ask for money. she gave us a receipt. was relatively quiet also.
Report Check-InWe got here midday- road in was okay. It was a low tide so the water was away from the shore exposing 1000ft of muddy sand (clams?). Plenty of old clam shells. As the water came in it covered it all shallow. Not swimmable but if you are into fishing or bird watching might be okay. A night stay before deciding on the direction to take. Fairly clean bathroom with flush toilets, shower is available but could not get hot water to go. Wifi on site but super weak- not functional for internet access.
Report Check-InTypical stuffy American/Canadian retirement RV park couple of nice people but like all of baja it’s just retired Americans that don’t speak the Spanish and have a massive since of entitlement to a country that isn’t there’s. Way cooler places south of Mulegé.
Report Check-InArrived and set-up last evening just before dark. no toilet paper provided...and no lights in washrooms or shower. shower worked well. Had a wonderful white fish dinner at Bahia Seafood restaurant. Stayed one night on beach site: 300 ps
Report Check-InStopped originally for one night and stayed for several. 150 pesos per night for the tent and the motorcycle. That’s for beachfront. Very warm showers and clean bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful long-term residents. Two excellent restaurants on the main road in town about a half mile walk. Two well stocked stores as well.
Report Check-InGot in at sunset and pulled into a beachfront spot
Someone came by around 8pm to collect. Price is now 300 peso for waterfront.
I think this is overpriced for the spot but we had a long drive from Bay of LA
Lots of snowbirds here but extremely quiet.
There are showers and toilets , no toilet paper supplied.
Water only at a few stations , I used the water that was near the showers.
There is Wi-Fi but it’s very week
you get very good cell service.
Restaurant looks permanently closed.
Excited to head south!
Report Check-InSuper clean, very well maintained park on a little rocky bay. Hot showers, washrooms, water and sewer dump. Perfect for our overnight on the way to Loreto.
Report Check-InWe stopped here again on our way back north. It broke up our driving days nicely and we knew the place already. No sign coming from the South so we missed it and the GPS was trying to send us to Santa Rosalia to turn around and come back. We would have missed it entirely if we didn’t know about where it is located. This is a beautiful spot but the price at $300 pesos is a bit high for dry camping. That said the view is lovely and the camp is quiet for a good sleep.
Report Check-InNice spot, full of snowbirds, easy access off the highway. 200 pesos for a spot for our 21' trailer and truck. No power, water available only at certain sites. You can grab a spot during the day, and they'll come by later for paymemt. Safe spot. Police came by and drove through the park, waved at us and left. We have been told the restaurant is permanently closed.
Report Check-Inwe're on bike, good price 100 pesos with warmshowers and potable water but I didn't understand from where I can take it. Restaurant open in the weekend with WiFi. 5 minutes by there's the supermarket from the village with water and other food
Report Check-Inwonderful place with wonderful long time tourists. hot water. restaurant only Friday to Sunday open.
no dogs barking! dog shit no problem, because in the sun it's very fast very dry. shower water is NOT SMELLING! paid 235$ beachfront. wanted to stay 2-3 nights. stayed 1 week. Swimming not possible, water not deep enough. SUP only while high tide possible. Good place, would come again!
They overcharge for off the beach parking (sign says 180, they said I had to pay 200). Neighbor dogs bark constantly, no hot water for shower, no water to wash hands in bathroom, no toilet paper in bathrooms, shower drain smells like sewage (make the cold shower even worse. I will not stay here again. The only positive was the sunrise.
Report Check-InThis place is full of retired Americans staying here the all winter. They are all very nice and full of good advices. We paid 200 pesos to stay on row nr 2,we shared the space with another camper but the price is 200 per vehicle also if you share one spot, so we had to pay 400! If you go to the restaurant be aware that the kitchen closes at 7pm! Stay dogs are nice.
Report Check-In200 peso for off beach. Clean bathrooms and showers. Wifi at the restaurant is decent. We were able to upload a YouTube video no problems, and the food was good. We parked close to the restaurant so we could use the Wifi but they turn it off at night. Just park and they will come around the next morning to gather fees. I asked the man who came around oboist their Wifi and he told me it was only at the restaurant. The water front sites are a higher fee. Would stay here again.
Report Check-InGreat spot. Nice and quiet. Big enough for two vans in one spot and big enough for big rigs or busses
Fantastic spot! As described, 235 pesos/night on water. Dump station, hot showers, fab little restaurant (closed Mon/Tues....if you dine on Sunday, have the “Limonata Especial” ;-)
Feeling rejuvenated...continuing South.
Report Check-In235 pesos for a short site on the waterfront. The place is tidy and plenty of birdlike can be seen at low tide.
Part of the park includes long term or regular residents from the US.
Stayed four nights in our small Class A on the front row next to Fish Station. Kind snow birds drove us into town & loaned us their kayaks. Fantastic bird watching. Great restaurant on site. Good hot propane shower. Football on TV in restaurant. Was able to get wifi at our spot. Would definitely comeback. Didn’t get bothered by any rays. Walked out into water and played with dog. $235 pesos a bit less farther back. Long term rates.
Report Check-InCampground is not bad, showers are hot with good pressure. Restrooms old but okay. Stay for one night. 235peso for beachfront or 180 for 2nd & 3rd row. Many snowbirds - still friendly.
Report Check-InNot our cup of tea but the showers were hot. Road noise, barking dogs, and generators set the ambiance. Really nice and friendly snowbird crowd. 230mx a night on the beach 180mx a night off.
Report Check-InHad a wonderful time here! Lots of long term people but they were nice and full of local knowledge! The bay is pretty with lots of bird and fishermen. The restrooms are just fine (bring your own paper) and the showers are very spacious and nicely tiled. Water is HOT! The on-site restaurant Bahia Cantina is aaaamazing with great food & prices. We’ll likely stop again on the return trip to the states!
Report Check-InHello
Nice view and friendly people here.
We pay 180 pesos for our rv and 5 persons.
Restroom are old and correct.
We stay only one night...the south call us.
Big RV Park, hot showers. Sites next to the water are 235 pesos, others 180. I tried to get a bargain for 3 nights but it was the same price. There is nobody on site, you choose your site and somebody will come and collect the money. Good bird watching. Not a sandy beach And not enough water to swim.
Report Check-Inwas charged 235 pesos per night, stayed two nights. I used the RV dump station and fresh water fill (I have a filter) Dump station is slightly tricky as there is no rinse water at the dump and drain recetical is above grade, so getting you dump hose purged requires care.
Camped in site #10. Right on the water. Nice view of bay. We paddled our kayaks right from the site and explored the mangrove bay just North of the campground. When the tide is below mid-point the bay is too shallow for kayaks for long way across sand/clay. But above that tide level easy paddling. Wind picked up each day around 10AM easy before that, after noon winds too strong for enjoyable paddling.
Report Check-InStayed here to explore Santa Rosalia. The snow birds here are very friendly and invited us to there music night. Had a spot right on the beach but move the the center to get level. They have showers but we did not use them.
Report Check-InAn Out of the way RV park, right next to the water, no electricity but most that I talk to are friendly snowbirds. The bonus for me was one of the residence had taken in a litter of stray feral puppies and I ended up with one of them to keep me company on the road.
Report Check-InOn the beach, protected, palm trees and Palapas. Small restaurant on site
Report Check-InLol. 180 for everyone else. 200 for us because we had 2 motorbikes... still a good place with lots of friendly Canadians
Report Check-InGreat spot, I was reminded of the Florida keys, rv park with some long term snowbirds. Lots of space available. We pulled in at dark and got an oceanfront spot. My 2 kids played with our dog and the place seemed quiet and relaxed. Showers and toilets are up on the small hill away from the water. (I couldn’t find them in the morning ;). Good spot to stop and get adjusted after the long drive from Ensenada.
Report Check-InThis place is beautiful. We ended up getting here late because we stopped in San Ignacio to get new brakes (for which we were SO HAPPY as we did the crazy descent down to Santa Rosalía!). It’s the busiest RV park we’ve stayed in so far in Baja, lots of older people who have dug in. They seem a bit uncomfortable with a family with kids here, but they’re friendly enough and we’re enjoying our short stay. One of the long-timers drove me just across the highway to a hidden little spot to have my laundry which is basically winning the lottery to a mother of 3!
Report Check-InAs an update to my review yesterday, I filled up the fresh water tank (for showers, dishes and toilet as we never drink this water) but I shouldn’t have. There is green junk coming out of the hose which I did not see except when I filled a water bottle. So be warned, don’t fill up your RV tank.
And make sure you turn to enter when you see the big yellow sign for the RV park as we missed it and our GPS was off
Report Check-InAfter driving for a few hours from Guerrero Negro to Santa Rosalia, we wanted to find a nice place to relax by the beach and found this place. Fairly large RV park with many snowbirds from USA and Canada all very friendly. Spoke to a resident and he said just pick a spot and someone will pass by to collect.
Beachfront $13, 2nd and 3rd rows $10
We chose beachfront with a great view, lots of birds in the area and a nice breeze as it was hot.
There is a restaurant nearby which we did not go to. Bathrooms and showers (Hot) are nice. Water and dump station are available to campers.
Overall great place to spend sometime.
Report Check-InThis place is great, great restaurant, the cool cats here gave me a Hugh yellowtail filet, the showers are the BEST I have encountered in Baja. Cool vibe, very friendly snowbirds 180 pesos one row off the beach
Report Check-InGreat place, warm showers with water pressure.
Waterfront p 135, none waterfront p 185.
First night we was invited to a family band playing in the bar, great Spanish and rock-and-roll music.
We didn't eat at the restaurant, but was told it was good food.
Tent-camped here 2 nights w/dog. I've stayed here before & not much has changed. Plenty of space for tents as well as RVs/vehicles. Good wi-fi & water. Restaurant on site but didn't eat there. Bathroom/hot showers. Tents 180 pesos/night.
Report Check-InWe stopped in around 5 pm to go to the restaurant and ended up walking in on the caretaker’s daughters graduation party. We were invited in for some delicious tacos:). Their hospitality and generosity was A+.
It was a beautiful spot I would definitely recommend it. Quiet and safe. The police patrol as well. We actually slept with our back doors open due to the heat. If you are closer to the water I think the gentleman charges a bit more pesos. 180 up to 240.
Report Check-InNice place on the beach, But swimming is not recommended, as the water is full of stingrays. If you have a kayak or SUP it's really nice cruising around in the bay. Some permanent campers out here, who are super friendly and helpful. We paid 180 pesos for the night. Wifi only at the restaurant, the bahia restaurant is only open on weekends during this time of season. no hook ups. But they have a dump station. Clean toilet and showers. Faculties are kept very well.
Report Check-InGood place for one night. $180 pesos per night. Not good for swimming but has good showers. If you have T Mobile you get good wifi here. Tip: don't use Google maps as it will take you through Southern entrance with rough road and like a maze. Take earlier Northern road entrance.
Report Check-InSafe, quiet, pretty view. A bit buggy when I visited but I think that's due to the unusual rains this year.
Report Check-InM$180 pesos/night. Clean hot showers with good pressure. Clean flush toilets. Water available. Some water facing sites, but we picked further into the big flat hardpacked parking lot for shade under a tree.
Friendly and mostly Canadian snowbirds. Good Restaurant according to residents that is open on weekends. Store across street at entrance with limited stock. We were told they are going through ownership change. Local lady come through with fresh baked goods and fresh seafood.
Not much to do here, unless you fish. No beach to walk along, cannot swim. Since its on the lagoon, the shore is muddy, with sharps shells and slimy that becomes evident at Low tide. Also told there are stingrays Swimming along the bottom, so walking into water is not a good idea.
internet decent and free near the restaurant.
Report Check-InThis was an okay place to sleep for the night. We came in late so we couldn't find any electrical spots. Other people also said they couldn't find any either. $10 USD for the night. Wish we would of drove a little further to Playa Santispac.
Report Check-InPaid 140 pesos for a parking spot with no hookups. Very close to the lagoon. Hot showers. Dim lighting in bathrooms. Limited water pressure for showers. Bring your own toilet paper. Not far off Highway 1. Friendly owner. Not overly crowded. There are some long-term friendly campers that will swing by and see that you are doing okay.
Report Check-InA typical RV park full of snowbirds. When we pulled in there was an open spot on the water where we could pitch our tents. The crowd was friendly, inviting and partied late into the night. There is really great fishing if you can talk one of the old guys into taking you out on a boat.
