As you may have guessed by the titles of other spots in this vicinity, there is a dirt road off of Highway 12 with many dispersed sites marked for camping by the BLM. This is just one of them. Along this little pullout road, there are probably 3 or 4 others, so if you have the inclination, you can just drive around and find your ideal spot. It rained overnight, and I did have a little trouble getting out in the morning (Sprinter van + wet sand), but ultimately managed and thought it was worth it.
The views are beautiful. Sandstone lines the cliffs and the valley below. Sage brush perfumes the whole area. Crickets sing you to sleep. The sunset is amazing.
No fires are permitted, and there's no cell reception.

Such a great spot. No trouble getting our 4x4 sprinter in. Great views!
