Description

Great spot for a quick pullover. We stayed 2 nights to catch the famous surfers on the bore tide. right off the highway. noisy and busy during the day. desolate at night. i even set up my easel and did a painting.

Train was very loud in the morning. Several other campers

Report Check-In

We slept just one night. The place is beautiful and we were alone, but as it is right on the highway it is quite noisy even at night, with truck traffic. The good surprise was waking up and see some snow on the top of the mountains.

Beautiful, scenic place to park for the night. There were a couple other campers. There is highway noise, but you don’t hear it one you’re asleep. ;) FYI if you’re here to watch the bore tide, it actually started further into the inlet so try one of the spots closer to Girdwood.

Stayed here for a few nights. Standard parking lot next to the road. Some traffic and train noise. No garbage or bathrooms. Awesome views though!
