Still 5€. A great spot if it’s raining cats and dogs. Missing electricity really. They could add more sand most of the place is on an incline and or full of little stones.
Tents only. You can’t access with a vehicle other than bicycles.

Now costs 20 to dump 10 for water…. Insane lol. Water was still locked for the winter season.

Wonderful safe, spacious & quite campsite. The din of the river can be heard at nighht, but not nearly as loud as the camps sites closer to the falls. Each campsite has it’s own privat ablutions (warm showers), electricity, braai place and potable water. Don’t leave food or any shiny valuables out during the day or night as the velvet monkey’s are quick and curious. 20min walk to the falls and 15mins to the village. I can highly recommend the nature walk up the river offered by Joao Murotwa, a local guide. Also the Portuguese rolls that can be bought in the village center are excellent! Refreshing pool to swum in right next to the bar with good wifi and wonderful view across the river and into the angolan mountains.

Perfect for a night before or after Lassen NP, approx. 5 miles from park. Cozy in the pines and fire pit already there!

There are several spots for parking in the space. The road coming in from i89 is super easy and accessible for all rigs. The main area has 2-3 level spots for large rigs and a couple others that are better for campers/vans/tents. Mind the signs on the corral, make sure you leave the required space. The roads going past the corral are definitely 4x4 roads. This spot has been very quiet. We were here for almost a week and had a few over nighters but not anyone stop and set up camp. It is close to i89 but you cannot see or hear the road.

Clean, felt safe, road noise not bad. Very close to CRNP Entrance Sign (near MM 73). Good for vans, big rigs, tents. Porta potties was only amenity. Pack it in, Pack it out. TMobile 2-4 bars 5G, depending on sight. Worked from my phone’s hotspot just fine.

$25 for electric/water hook-ups. So-so cleanliness in toilet and shower. Weak wi-fi. Offices closes at 4pm. Not much in adjacent towns. Open April 1-October 1. Closed 4 weeks for annual fair (last 2 weeks August-first 2 weeks September 2024) for fair, prep, and clean-up. Fun to watch the horses exercising and training in the ring and race track.

Our next door MTB neighbors confirmed that this campground is the best in the region. Guess the homework paid off! It looks beyond awesome. Oh and WiFi is flawless. No password either. Would highly recommend bringing $5 in quarters for laundry. ($1.50 wash, $1 dry)

A beautiful green oasis just 30km from Harare. Tranquil shaded campsite overlooking Lake Chivero.
Little rooms also available. Ablutions are amazing, bright, clean with hot water. Big communal area with kitchen and washing up areas also available with plenty of seating for big groups. Very friendly helpful staff. There is a bar/restaurant on site although we didn't visit it.
Also a couple of zebra keeping the grass cut in the campsite!
Cost. $8 pp entrance fee and $10 pp for camping.. Price includes entry to the bird park.

Kuimba Shiri Bird Park Campsite -17.86831, 30.80122

Very quiet. Very little traffic. Steep road as mentioned, but we had no problems with our 28 ft. RV towing a Jeep. Watch for loose dogs running around about 6 miles up. Almost hit a couple several different times. 30 minutes to Crescent City, 20 - 30 minutes to many hiking options. Clean after picking up some trash. Pack it out please. Girls, take your TP with you! 2 bars Verizon, 1 - 2 bar TMoble

Sunset view mountaintop pullout 41.89733, -124.06045

Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience here, as it's pretty small and most spots aren't leveled. Also the way here is very steep and far.

It's 15km from the center of La Paz, which will take at least one hour with public transportation.

The facilities are functional but for 130bols for 2 people per night, it was the most expensive campsite we have stayed at in South America.

It is possible to park here for 30bols per night, which we find much better value.

To be fair, there don't seem to be cheaper alternatives in the vicinity of La Paz.

It seems like many of the positive reviews are based on Marcos helping them fix their vehicles, which we can't comment on.

Our review is solely based on camping and parking there.

Superbe endroit. Plusieurs terrains sans service, en face du Rocher Percé. Les prix sont très abordables; 20-25$. Mr Bond est un charmant Monsieur! Nous l'avons contacté par téléphone et est venu nous accueillir.
