Lugar tranquilo de estacionar, passa bastante carro a noite.
Mas foi tranquilo!

Praça Jorge Lacerda -26.74516, -49.17439

Very beautiful spot for the sunset and sound of waves. Yet it is not that quiet since it’s very next to the road (even if there is very few trafic at night). Not very discrete either (we’ve been honked at by a truck around 11PM). Still a very good night, i would recommend

Pas si calme ni discret car juste accolé à la route, où il y a peu de trafic la nuit. Très bon spot pour le coucher de soleil sur l’océan

Stayed here with no problems. Right next to a public restroom which I like. There is bit of traffic.

Bob Henry Park 33.62240, -117.90575

A beautiful, secluded, and quiet spot not too far off the I-70. About a mile drive on a well maintained dirt road that our skoolie had no problems with. Two other cars drove past in the evening presumably to park further out but not sure as we never saw them after.

There are also pit toilets about a half mile away and possibly some fire pits that you pass as you drive in but we didn’t stop there.

Very good T-Mobile service.

Corruption! They charge 40,000 F for the passavant, but it's free! We negotiated and waited for over three hours. We managed to get it for free, but right up to the last moment they were asking for money or gifts.passavant in Congo are free

direction départementale des douannes -4.26934, 15.28985

Still a good place for the night. Bathrooms and cold shower for free, sink for hand washing, wi-fi and power outlet. Parking is by the road so expect some traffic noise.

Great spot on top of a ridge overlooking the basin, you can see the VLA antennas. A little exposed to the wind. Several spots with fire rings. Plenty of firewood around.

I went here to find a replacement for my ripped 29 tire. They have little stuff for modern bikes. For example they didn’t have tubeless stuff or 29 inch tubes with french valve.

It is mainly aimed at older and cheaper bicycles. But I found a temporary solution, a cheap 29 inch tire and 26 inch tube here, that takes me to Cusco.

There is another bikeshop in town, which is called Taller Bicicletas Robert Bikes on google. I went there as well but I could not make a reference for them, but it’s a same style of shop.

Nice place to spend a couple of days to rest. I paid 40 soles for a private room with single bed, I believe it’s more expensive if you book online. Better quality then most hotels in this price range. Communal areas with couches, chairs and tables. Average speed WiFi.

I could park my bicycle in the communal room. It felt safe.

The lady is friendly and helpful, although she doesn’t know much about the area.
